Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins has been charged with aggravated assault and strangulation after allegedly taking offense at her liking another man’s photo on Instagram.

Both Haskins and Makiah Green were arrested early Thursday morning and released on bail from the Davidson County Jail later Thursday. They are scheduled to perform July 10 before Davidson County General Sessions Judge Ana Escobar.

Haskins was released on $10,000 security deposit. Makiah Green was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault-strangulation and vandalism, and was released on bail of $7,500-$2,500 for each charge.

“We are aware of the situation and are gathering additional information,” the Titans said in a statement Friday evening.

Haskins is entering his second season with Tennessee after finishing No. 131 overall in the fourth round from Michigan last year. He played in 15 games with one start and had 25 carries for 93 yards.

Placed according to arrest warrants on social media, the couple started feuding on June 22 because Green liked an Instagram post. During the fight, the warrant says Haskins allegedly “began strangling her with both hands” on a bed for possibly “10 to 15 seconds.”

She got up and they hit each other. Green told police she fell on top of her dog crate, where Haskins strangled her a second time before letting her leave.

According to the warrant, she has photos of bruises on her right cheek, a scratch and redness on her neck.

The argument escalated days later at a restaurant, with them each leaving separately. ESPN reported that Haskins drove home, leaving Green at the restaurant, before ordering an Uber to take her back.

When she got home, Green told police she threw a glass that shattered before closing a bedroom door. She claims Haskins “punched and kicked” the door in half. She says she grabbed and broke Haskins’ $5,000 necklace before they fought over her phone, which Haskins threw and shattered.

On Instagram, the two often like each other’s photos and Green recently said “you’re so good” under one of Haskins’ posts, to which he replied with a love heart emoji.

The warrant says Green picked up Haskins’ phone and saw nude photos of other women on his Snapchat account. That led her to throw his phone before punching him in the chest.

‘Mrs. Green stated that she then went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife because she was going to cut his tires,” the warrant read. ‘Mrs. Green said as she walked to the garage, hearing Mr. Haskins cock his gun and saying, ‘I hope you do.’” She put the knife down.

The warrant says Haskins agreed with Green’s bill. He added that she had beaten him with a broom, jumped on him and tried to strangle him from behind.

Haskins also accused Green of making a hole in a wall by throwing his Playstation 5. Haskins also showed police videos of Green beating him with a broom.
