Tinder plans to roll out an ultra-premium version of the app at $500 a month that will give users 24/7 access to a dating coach.

The new offering — which is still in beta testing — also promises to connect daters with the app’s most active, influential and sought-after members.
The company’s chief product officer, Mark Van Ryswyk, confirmed the test rollout of the luxury new subscription on Monday, but was coy on details.

But one Reddit user has already posted photos of the app after claiming to have been invited to participate in a trial.
Screenshots show the promises of the upgraded accounts “unparalleled access to the best of Tinder” and an opportunity to “shape the Tinder VAULT offering.”
The service offers two different pricing plans: a $500 monthly fee or a $5,000 annual fee. That’s a huge increase over the three paid accounts already available, which range from $2.67 per month to $29.99.
Tinder VAULT features a “personalized concierge service” with 24/7 expert dating advice and other elusively defined perks like “priority pass” and a “premium passport” that gives users access to the most active and “liked” users.
However, Van Ryswyk has told reporters that VAULT won’t include all-new features like human matchmakers, but will resemble a scaled-up, more expensive version of their existing premium options.
Today, Tinder swipers can pay for upgrades that increase the reach of their dating profile, lower their swipe limits, and move their likes to the front of the queue, where paying members’ likes are seen ahead of non-payers.
Since Match Group, the owner of Tinder, posted its first quarterly profit in January, it’s possible that their plans for Tinder VAULT aren’t entirely romantic.
Match CEO Bernard Kim attributed the company’s slowdown to Tinder’s “weaker-than-expected product execution.”
“It’s been pretty clear since I joined last May that I wasn’t happy with the Tinder roadmap,” Kim said during a Q4 2022 earnings call. “I hold myself and the Tinder team accountable for delivering that product roadmap.”
The company seems to have learned its lesson from its acquisition of exclusive $1,000-a-week dating app The League last July.
Chief Product Officer Van Ryswyk says League subscriptions have held steady despite waves of layoffs in high-paying sectors such as technology.

The company says it doesn’t want to disrupt the user experience for Tinder’s free members, who make up the majority of users.
And yet, VAULT should still provide benefits that could cost subscribers up to $6,000 a year.
