Tina Arena gets brutally slammed by left-leaning ABC viewers ahead of a planned performance on Q+A – with angry Twitter mob labelling her ‘Scott Morrison’s girl’

Tina Arena is a favorite of Scott Morrison, with the former politician previously publicly praising the singer.

And it seems ABC viewers have a long memory, with the Chains singer coming under fire ahead of a scheduled appearance on Monday’s Q&A.

Tina, who is politically outspoken, was slammed by Twitter users who were outraged at her inclusion in the leftist program.

“Ah no, Tina was Scotty’s girl, how about someone with a little bit of credibility,” one viewer wrote of Tina, who has sold 10 million records worldwide.

“Maybe with a duet with her #1 fan, the Member for Cook?” wrote another. “Scotty in backup with the ukulele?” added another.

The Sorrento Moon hitmaker, who has been on the charts in Australia since the early 1990s, took even more wrath from viewers.

She previously spoke out against Melbourne’s harsh lockdowns and admitted to breaking them, saying she had broken the three-mile radius rule.

“Queen of the stoves,” one drew out. “No thanks, don’t look at anti-lockdown, anti-health people, but she fits the liberal ABC propaganda station.”

“Really determined to get #QANDA cancelled, eh,” wrote yet another. ‘No. And just when I thought Q and A was worth another look.’

Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been open about his love for Tina Arena, calling her his “favourite singer” in the past.

During a radio interview with GOLD104.3 Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show in September 2020, Scott praised the singer.

“I’m a big Tina Arena fan,” cooed the then prime minister when asked if he had a song request for the channel.

‘She’s my favorite Melburnian and she’s a great Australian performer. Overload, one of her recent albums, I’ve always loved it, but play me anything from Tina Arena and I’m happy,” he added.

When asked if Tina is his “go-to artist,” the politician admitted, “I have my Tina Arena playlist, all my favorites are on it.”

Tina has certainly become less favorable with ABC viewers after taking more conservative political stances during Covid.

During an interview with The Weekend Australia in July, the singer questioned the logic of Melbourne’s lengthy lockdowns and ‘radius rules’.

‘Why can’t you drive more than five kilometers? Guess what – watch me. So I did. I drove past my five kilometers. Am I a criminal now? Will you pull me up? Pull me up. Do you want to fine me? Scold me. I’m not the one with the problem here,” she said.

The problem is that there is no logic. You have no right to do that. You fine me. This is totalitarian. That’s not how we work.’

Tina, who has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, has recently come under fire for her political views, including questioning the logic of Melbourne’s lengthy lockdowns.

Tina focused on the level of compliance and said she remained outspoken during the lockdowns.

“I didn’t hear anyone complaining during the lockdown except me, ‘Why are we locked up? Where’s your science? What? Why?’ The fear was so great for me; it suffocated me, I was like, I can’t handle you all being so fear-driven and compliant,” she said.

Tina will soon embark on her ‘Love Saves’ world tour, which will include stops in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Adelaide.

The star also has international dates, including in New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Paris and London.
