Timothee Chalamet reveals Zendaya helped him furnish his first New York City apartment that had NO bed frame: ‘The vibe was very teenage boy’
Timothée Chalamet revealed that Zendaya helped him decorate his first apartment in New York City.
While talking about their friendship, which began after meeting on the set of Dune in 2019, the Wonka star, 28, recalled how the actress stepped in to take his Midtown Manhattan apartment to the next level.
“Zendaya helped me set up my first apartment in New York years ago,” he said during their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The Euphoria actress, 27, confirmed she had a hand in redecorating his home, which she joked gave off a “very teenage boy” vibe.

“We just needed a few supplies: cups and plates, knives and forks, things to clean,” she explained. ‘We needed some structure!’
After Florence Pugh joked that he didn’t even have a bed before Zendaya walked in, Chalamet clarified that “there was a bed” but “no bed frame.”
“We got everything he needed – all the big boy stuff,” Zendaya assured viewers.
Although the couple did not confirm when this took place, they were spotted shopping together at a Bed Bath & Beyond in 2020.
One fan, who took a selfie with the Oscar nominee, said she met him while working at the Upper East Side retailer.
“He’s the cutest. He literally put on his sunglasses for the photo,” the fan wrote in a post: uploaded to Twitter, at the time. “He was there with Zendaya!!!!”
In 2022, Chalamet said the actress “really” became a “sister” while filming their 2021 sci-fi epic.
“I am so grateful to consider her a partner, a sister and a friend,” he said Variety.

Zendaya previously shared E! News in 2021 that they became “very close” on set.
“We were like, ‘Oh, this is great,’” she recalled after their first meeting. “We’re going to be best friends, I can tell.”
In 2020, he shared a sweet birthday tribute to Zendaya on Twitter, calling her “one of the most inspiring people” he met during his “short journey.”
He also described her as having “the strongest ethical character and a moral compass that is in harmony with a totally fearless creative abandon.”
