Timothée Chalamet revealed the advice Tom Cruise gave him while gracing the cover of British magazine November issue of GK magazine.
The actor, 27, revealed that the Top Gun star sent him a ‘wonderfully inspiring’ email with a list of experts he could use to train stunts.
Timothy added that Tom, who is known for doing his own stunts in movies, told him it was “up to him” to learn those skills to further his career.
He said: “After I met Tom Cruise, right after finishing the first Dune, he sent me the most wonderfully inspirational email,” adding that he included a Rolodex of all kinds of experts he might need for stunt training, including a motorcycle trainer and a helicopter trainer.
“He basically said that in Old Hollywood, you’re going to go to dance and fight training, and nobody’s going to hold you to that standard today.” So it’s up to you. “The email was really like a war cry,” Timothy added.
Important: Timothee Chalamet has revealed the advice Tom Cruise gave him after he finished shooting the first Dune movie in 2021.
Timothy, who is set to play a young Willy Wonka in the upcoming prequel in December, revealed that he has watched Tom’s sequel to the critically acclaimed Top Gun: Maverick eight times.
He also revealed that he even rented out a cinema in Budapest and took the entire cast and crew of Dune to see it.
“Top Gun was very inspiring to me last summer when we were shooting Dune. “Some of the crew were kind of scoffing at going, but I just thought it was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen,” the star added.
During the interview, Timothy also addressed the sexual assault allegations against his Call Me By Your Name co-star Armie Hammer.
During pre-production on Bones and All, the cannibal romance in which Chalamet played the ‘eater’, reports revealed that Hammer had been accused by several women of sharing sexual fantasies in which he posed as a cannibal.
Timothee ‘I mean, what were the chances of us developing this thing?’
Speaking about when false reports suggested the film was inspired by the news, he said: ‘I felt like: Now I really have to do this… Because this is actually based on a book.’
When asked how he personally felt about the allegations against Hammer, Chalamet said, “These things end up getting baited so intensely. Disorientation is a good word.’

Soon! After Wonka, Timothy is due to star in Dinah: Part Two in March, which was pushed back from its original October release due to the Screen Actors Guild strike.
At that time, Hammer has strongly denied the lawsuit and all other allegations of sexual abuse against him, but his career has faced irreparable consequences.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney announced earlier this year that he would not be indicted on sexual assault charges after his ex-girlfriend previously accused him of raping her.
After Wonka, Timothy is set to star in Dinah: Part II in March, which was pushed back from its original October release due to the Screen Actors Guild strike.
Speaking about his work on the film, he said: “It was so incredibly precious to spend so much time with Zendaya and her assistant, Darnell, and to have Tom (Holland) come on set as well.

‘They are on a level. They are good Hollywood. They are the Hollywood of good energy. And then Austin (Butler) and Florence (Pugh). I feel like I’m creating a community of people who care about the right things.’
Fans have also been keeping a close eye on the Pretty Boy actor’s love life.
He’s been spotted with Kylie Jenner, 26, in recent weeks, and while neither has spoken publicly about their relationship, they haven’t been shy about showing their feelings for each other through public kissing and making out.
Kylie is a mother of two, Stormi, five, and Er, 20 months.
She shares the children with her ex-partner Travis Scott, 32, who she announced she had split from last December.
For now, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star seems to be enjoying her time with the Oscar nominee.
“It’s not that serious,” a source told US Weekly in August. “Kylie is having fun and while she’s open to seeing where things go, they’re not in a committed relationship. Things are very casual.’
