Timothee Chalamet is unrecognizable in hilarious ’emo’ Bob Dylan outfit at A Complete Unknown NYC premiere

Timothée Chalamet transformed one of Bob Dylan’s most infamous looks at the premiere of A Complete Unknown in New York City.

On Friday, the 28-year-old heartthrob – who plays the Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door hitmaker in the upcoming biopic – wore a blue knit hat, leather jacket, gingham scarf and plaid button-up.

Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend completed the look by donning straight blonde locks – a complete departure from his naturally curly brunette hair.

The actor has not yet confirmed whether the blonde blocks are permanent or whether the new look is a wig. He also sported a mustache to pay tribute to the music icon.

Chalamet exactly imitated Dylan’s look from the Sundance Film Festival in 2003. At the time, the singer of Mr. Tambourine Man returned to the big screen starring Masked and Anonymous.

A Complete Unknown is scheduled to hit theaters on Wednesday, December 25 and has already received mixed reviews from fans and critics.

The film stars Dune star Bob Dylan and centers on the singer-songwriter’s controversial switch to electric instruments at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

It was confirmed that Chalamet – who is joined in the cast by Edward Norton, Boyd Holbrook and Monica Barbaro – will do his own singing in the film after lending his vocals to his 2023 musical film Wonka.

Director James Mangold confirmed that he worked with Dylan on the project and that the Hurricane singer had some personal input into the screenplay.

During a performance at the Happy sad confused podcast, the filmmaker said, “I spent several wonderfully charming days in his company, just one-on-one, talking to him.

“I have a script that is personally annotated by him and cherished by me. He likes movies. The first time I sat down with Bob, one of the first things he said to me was, “I love Cop Land.”

While the pic will cover Dylan’s early years, Logan’s director emphasized that Complete Unknown wasn’t strictly a biopic about the musician.

He explained, “It’s not really a Bob Dylan biopic, by the way.

“The reason Bob has been so supportive of us making it is that it’s about: In all cases, I think the best true films never go from cradle to grave, they’re about a very specific moment.

“In this case, it might sound Altman-esque, but it’s kind of an ensemble piece about this moment, the early 1960s in New York, and this 17-year-old kid with $16 in his pocket hitchhiking to New York. York to meet Woody Guthrie who is in the hospital dying of a nervous disease,” he finished.

Chalamet gave fans a first look at the highly anticipated movie poster via Instagram in late August, just after the first trailer was released, giving fans a taste of the New York native in action.

And he has been spotted channeling the singer on set on several occasions.

An insider close to the actor said there is a lot at stake for him: ‘There is a lot of pressure to do well. Bob Dylan fans are insane and will tear him apart [Timothée] apart if he’s wrong.’

The title — A Complete Unknown — is recognizable from Dylan’s career-changing rock song, Like a Rolling Stone.
