Timo Werner is expected to undergo his Tottenham medical on Tuesday after flying to London to complete his move from Red Bull Leipzig.
The 27-year-old will receive a six-month loan with an option to buy for £14.5 million.
The former Chelsea maverick attracted interest from other Premier League clubs but quickly agreed to join Spurs as he sees an opportunity to fit in well with Ange Postecoglou's playing style.
Werner flew back to Germany from the La Manga training camp in Leipzig on Sunday and is expected to start training with his new teammates once he completes his medical treatment.
