Timberwolves’ Rudy Gobert is sent home after a swipe at his OWN teammate Kyle Anderson in a heated timeout as Minnesota tries to improve its postseason odds – and others must step in to separate the pair!
Rudy Gobert was sent home by the Minnesota Timberwolves after he lashed out at teammate Kyle Anderson during a timeout in their regular season finale on Sunday.
Cameras focused on one of the first half timeouts and caught the fiery altercation on the bench in the second quarter of the game.
Center Gobert and forward Anderson were seen in a heated argument on the sidelines as tensions flared.
What was said between the pair could not be heard, but Gobert stepped closer to Anderson before finally lunging at him. He seemed to hit him on the chest with his hand.
Anderson attempted to retaliate, but other teammates and coaching staff came between the pair to break them up.

Gobert appeared to object to something Anderson said, as Minnesota trailed 12 with 4:23 left before halftime.
Anderson was restrained and eventually walked off when the horn sounded for the end of the time-out. Gobert was escorted to the dressing room.
The center was taken out at that point and Anderson took his place on the field.
The Timberwolves trailed the New Orleans Pelicans at halftime with a win, meaning they could jump to eighth and get a better placing.
As the second half got under way, Minnesota announced that Gobert was out for the rest of the game, as he was widely reported to have been sent home following the incident.
Gobert was fined $25,000 last month for destroying “bulls***” after the loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Gobert made headlines during the coronavirus pandemic playing for the Utah Jazz.
He was filmed jokingly touching microphones and tape recorders at a press conference before testing positive for COVID-19.
