Tim McGraw spoke of the longevity of his marriage to his compatriot Faith Hill, whom he tied the knot with in 1996.
‘I don’t know if there’s a key. We always say we’re 27 years later, it’s like 96 in show business. It’s almost dog years,” he burst out.
“We made a commitment early on, when we first decided we were going to get married and have kids, that we wouldn’t just walk out the door if problems arose,” he noted. Entertainment tonight Canada.
They now share three daughters, Gracie, 26, Maggie, 25, and Audrey, 21, and Tim has commented that the whole family is capable of being “brutally honest” with each other.
“Faith and I would raise our girls to be strong, independent, fierce and have their own minds and their own opinions,” he shared.

Tim confessed, “And sometimes I say, ‘Dang, do we want them to be so independent and strong?’ But yes, we are so proud of them.’
During the same interview, Tim reflected on then up and coming teen star Taylor Swift touring for him and Faith in 2007.
Taylor had already broken into the music business and released her debut album in 2006 – with a lead single called Tim McGraw.
“We knew it early on, when she opened up for Faith and I on our Soul2Soul tour, just her and an acoustic guitar, and spent time with her,” Tim recalls fondly.
“Faith and I both knew she was unstoppable. She’s a special talent,” added the smoldering country hunk, who hails from Louisiana.
This year has mostly confirmed Tim and Faith’s early suspicions as Taylor embarks on her sweeping Eras Tour.
Earlier this summer Fortune magazine reported that the tour could result in $4.6 billion in consumer spending in the United States alone.
Meanwhile, Tim and Faith star together in 1883, the spin-off prequel series to American pop culture juggernaut Yellowstone.

Faith met Tim in 1996 when she was his opening act herself – 11 years before the tour where they had Taylor as the opener.
In a joint interview with People magazine a few years ago, they credited both quality time together and time apart to themselves for their lasting marriage.
We both have our daily routines and we have our own dressing rooms,” said Faith. “We each have our own space to retreat to, so we have time to ourselves.”
‘Funny, as we get older it’s less about the grand gestures and more about just spending time together at home,’ Tim mused. “For our 20th wedding anniversary we stayed home, in our pajamas and watched TV, we loved it.”
