Tim Lovejoy explains reasons why he stopped going to Chelsea games in honest chat about his ’bout of depression’ on the Mail’s new podcast Soccer A-Z

Broadcasting icon Tim Lovejoy revealed why he stopped paying for a Chelsea season ticket in the first episode of the Mail’s brand new podcast Football AZ.

Speaking to former Soccer AM co-host Helen Chamberlain, the presenter gave three reasons why he decided to stop watching the Blues.

Lovejoy then went on to elaborate on his ’bout of depression’, explaining that attending football matches didn’t exactly make him happy. There was one trip to Anfield where he was booed by fans, which he remembers vividly.

It all means the former Soccer AM presenter is currently a self-confessed ‘lounger fan’, as he prefers to sit down and watch matches on television. He cites Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand as some of the best commentators working today.
