TikTok’s queen of bling Sammi Jefcoate reveals her ultimate guide for curating and styling the perfect jewelry collection – from how to source budget-friendly pieces to her rules for stacking accessories

Fashion and jewelery influencer Sammi Jefcoate has well and truly established herself as TikTok’s livestock queen – amassing more than two million followers as she shares daily style videos that see her flaunting a range of accessories.

And now, the 35-year-old TikTok star and mother-of-one has revealed her top tips for budding jewelery collectors looking to curate their own collection of unique and high-end bling, revealing to DailyMail.com how it goes to finding the highest quality accessories that will last a lifetime.

While celebrating the launch of her new Semper Ring collaboration with luxury jewelery brand Marrow Fine, the British fashion star opened up about how she goes about choosing the pieces she adds to her collection.

Sammi owns items from famous brands such as Cartier, Gucci and Dior to name a few, but she said she likes to focus her attention more on independent labels when it comes to choosing jewelery items – because they tend to be better quality. .

“I’m an absolute wizard when it comes to jewelry and I’ve always had a core love for independent jewelry brands,” she said.

They tend to have such a dedication to their craft, their stories around the pieces and it makes them feel so special. There is a level of care and love there.’

She also notes that buying items from famous brands will often mean they are more expensive because there is an increase in name popularity.

“I have gold pieces from famous jewelry brands that I love, however there will always be a big markup to pay for that name,” she explained.

“For me, falling in love with a piece is my favorite thing and I love supporting lesser known brands.”

Marrow Fine founder Jillian Sassone agrees, saying she believes pieces from indie brands often tend to be more unique—meaning you automatically get a sense of originality that you won’t find from big-name labels.

“I personally have always loved independent design,” she said. “I consider them to be the most unique and easy-to-talk beginners.

“Wearing a piece from an independent label feels like you’re in on a secret that not everyone knows about. Kind of like finding an incredible indy band before they’ve even hit the radio.’

Although Sammi puts a lot of energy into finding new and exciting independent brands, she admits that when it comes to thinking about price tags, she tends to be more of an impulse shopper who follows her heart rather than her head (or her bank balance). .

“When I buy jewelry, I’m a real person with heart over mind,” she said. “My eyes fall in love first and I can immediately imagine styling the piece, wearing it day after day etc.”

However, she notes that while she doesn’t necessarily focus on pieces that are likely to increase in value over time, shopping the way she does allows her to make sure the items she buys are ones she’ll wear. again and again – with the cost per garment ultimately making them much more budget friendly.

“I’m sure I should think more about value, but to be completely honest it’s never my first thought,” she said.

“I have pieces that I have thought about/thought about for years before I bought them – I will never forget my first gold ring purchase, which I am still wearing today as I write this.

“Jewelry feels very personal to me and in the same way as tattoos, an extension of myself, stories, art, expression… It’s so beautiful too, isn’t it?!”

When it comes to the items jewelry lovers should focus on when building their collection, Sammi says it’s about the pieces you feel will fit best into your daily routine.

“Personally, I’d go with what you feel most comfortable wearing,” she advised.

“For me, it’s the rings – I don’t go a day without wearing them – but for others, rings can feel suffocating. It’s personal and I think you should go with your gut here. I’m above the cost per outfit when it comes to high end jewelry.’

When it comes to finding new and exciting brands to read, Sammi says she comes across many of her favorites online – including Marrow Fine, who she ‘fell in love with two years ago’ .

She recommends Googling different pieces or designs that interest you and seeing which brands best match the aesthetic of what you’re going for.

“The beauty of the internet led me to Marrow Fine – I mean that was Instagram, but it could have been a Google search… I’ve spent a lot of time Googling certain pieces/ideas/articles,” she explained.

“I just know when it feels good and how I like the pieces to sit together,” she explained.

“I don’t believe in rules in fashion and style, and I really believe that we should all dress for ourselves. In the madness that is alive, something as simple as a good outfit makes your day and can make it so much better.’

With so many unique pieces of jewelry in her collection, when it came to creating her collection Marrow FineSammi knew she wanted the design to represent something more meaningful than just a fashion aesthetic.

So she turned to vintage Claddagh rings for inspiration; The traditional Irish design usually features two hands clasped around a heart that has a crown above it – with each element representing a different meaning.

The crown represents loyalty, the heart represents love, and the two hands are meant to symbolize friendship.

Sammi put a slightly gothic and more modern twist on this tradition, adding the words ‘life’ and ‘death’ either side of her central heart – which is available in a number of different stones, including opal, sapphire , black diamond and garnet.

“The ring is very much inspired by old Claddagh rings – I love this design and the sentiment behind it,” she said.

“I’m all about relationships, I love love and I wanted the ring to reflect that – the heart was at the center of ‘life’ and ‘death’, showing the value of love.

The hands are a bit more hidden than most Claddagh rings and are mostly seen from the sides and bottom of the ring, really making the heart stand out.

“I wanted the ring to be a piece that people can personalize—add their birthstones, engrave the names of loved ones—a piece that can reflect their love.”
