A Chilean TikTokker is causing a stir after claiming she has a hard time finding a date.
The reason? Michelle Peint believes her striking beauty scares off men.
The content creator, who has more than 271,000 followers on the social media app, made headlines last month when she explained why she struggled to find Mr. Perfect.
“I want to talk about how hard it is for me to find a partner when I’m beautiful,” she said in the video “The Curse of Being Beautiful,” which has been viewed more than 19 million times.
“It’s very difficult for a man to come up to me and talk to me,” Peint said, before going into details of an encounter with a man who wasn’t sure whether he wanted to start a conversation with her.

“One time I dared to ask the boy, do you like me or did I get your attention, why didn’t you come to me and he said this to me… just look at yourself and look at me. You look super unattainable. I thought what?” she said.
The small business owner said people often tell her that her Instagram mailbox should be full of requests from men asking her out and that she should “have a date every day” because of her attractiveness.
“And the only person I talk to the most on WhatsApp is my mother,” Peint countered.
“And when a man approaches me, he’s usually too shy. Very, very shy or you can tell he’s nervous when he talks to me,” she said. “They also often tell me that you’re very pretty, they have to tell you that a lot. No!”
According to Peint, the end result is that “beautiful women” come into contact with men who are “not as beautiful as” them.

Her solution to the “dateless” dilemma is to remind men that it’s okay to approach women who are just as beautiful as they are.
“So I want to call all those guys. If you see a pretty girl, you like her, she catches your attention, don’t be shy,” she advised. “Ask her for her Instagram, ask her for her number, write her and she’s the one who will make the decision to tell you, look yeah, let’s talk or not, I’m not interested.
“I feel like they’re taking the step of I’m going to dare to write to you and well, let’s see what happens,” she added. “If the woman rejects you, that’s fine, you tried. But you tried. Don’t be seduced by appearances.”
