Infidelity of partners is nothing new, but thanks to TikTok ‘love detectives’ it is harder to get away with it.
During TikTok’s “loyalty test,” hundreds of people reached out to content creators in an attempt to see if their significant other would actually cheat on them.
The outcome of these tests – including screenshots of the daring messages – are regularly shared on the For You page for everyone to see.
While many honeycatchers (the women and men who are asked to “test” people’s partners by flirting with them) build an illustrious career by charging money for their services, some do so out of the goodness of their hearts.
One Essex TikToker, Dani Bose, has amassed a huge following by dropping into the DMs of blissfully unaware boyfriends, truly testing their loyalty – and she’s doing it for free.
Dani Bose (pictured), from Essex, regularly helps women discover whether their partner is loyal by putting them to a ‘loyalty test’
The content creator has published numerous videos detailing the results of each “loyalty test.”
According to Dani, she is inundated with messages from suspicious girlfriends who want her to reach out and flirt with their partners to see if they reply.
In one clip, the OnlyFans model is asked by an anonymous woman to test her boyfriend, who recently cheated.
The friend revealed that she had recently forgiven him, and that he even gave her his great-grandmother’s promise ring as a guarantee.
Dani quickly gets to work pretending she saw the man in a secret pub, with the friend quickly turning the conversation sexual.
Discussing the imposter, she said, “He moves like all the boys in Casa Amor, doesn’t he?”
She mocked the anonymous man, adding, “I just had to test it to see if what I have with my girlfriend is real. Okay.’
Dani dropped a bomb at the end of their conversation and sent the imposter his girlfriend’s number.
Women regularly approach Dani asking her to message their boyfriends to see if they want to flirt back
However, the process doesn’t always go smoothly, as some followers don’t react too kindly when Dani tries to trap their partners – at their request.
The TikToker, who has around 388,000 followers, has shared several examples of women being upset after contacting their partners.
In another video, a girl got upset with Dani when she didn’t ask her boyfriend three times if he was single.
The follower quickly turned pushy, writing, “I swear this is your job? So I’m a customer and you’re awful,” to which Dani emphasized that it’s not her job – and she doesn’t get paid either.
Things quickly turned sour when the anonymous woman didn’t get her way and started accusing Dani of “stealing boyfriends.”
Unlike Dani, some TikTok honey trappers will catch unfaithful partners, but only for a fee.
In one video, an anonymous woman asked the OnlyFans model to get in touch with her boyfriend, who assured her – with his great-grandmother’s ring – that he wouldn’t cheat again
A 2022 All 4 documentary – Untold: Cheat Detectives, presented by Kiss FM Breakfast show host Daisy Maskell revealed how lucrative this trend can be.
Not only for those who decide to bill for their services, but also for those who use it to build their following.
While many will run loyal tests in exchange for sharing posts in their own content and growing their audience, some will charge a hefty fee.
According to Daisy: ‘There are people earning £1,400 a week. Many honey catchers…don’t charge their customers at all, they do it for the content.
‘If they’re signed up to TikTok’s creator fund, they get around £30 per million views, but the real aim is to gain enough followers to be seen as an influencer.
‘Top influencers can literally get paid over a million pounds for one sponsored post.’
