Tika Sumpter reveals she is donating her own personal baby items to parents in need amid LA fire

Tika Sumpter is lending a helping hand amid the devastating fires in LA.

Sumpter, 44, revealed she will be donating her own baby supplies to parents in need.

On Instagram, she first clarified an earlier post she made that had people asking if she was receiving donations to give to those affected.

“I just wanted to thank you for the outpouring of love for the mini-distribution project we started,” said Sumpter, who stars in the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

“But I know a lot of people were asking about donations they wanted to give to us, but we don’t accept donations.”

She said the baby items she wanted to donate were items she personally owned.

“These are items of our own personal baby stuff that we’ve had that I’ve kept for far too long, believing that I would need them again someday,” she said.

“But it’s really good stuff and I just want to give it away to people who really need it right now.

“So yes, again, we are not accepting donations at this time. We do not accept any. We’re just giving away. We’re just giving our stuff away.’

Sumpter announced her donations a day earlier with a photo of a room full of various items that would be donated.

The donations include a stroller and an abundance of clothing.

“Dear mothers, parents of newborns, toddlers to 8 year olds who have been deeply affected by the fires,” she wrote.

“We have carefully used car seats, books, toys, 0 to 8 year old clothes, bottles, strollers, high chairs and much more,” she said.
