Tiger Woods WITHDRAWS from The Masters after dropping to the BOTTOM of the leaderboard

Tiger Woods WITHDRAWS from The Masters after falling to the BOTTOM of the standings with 29 holes left to play at Augusta… after cameras caught him with a leg injury

Tiger Woods has pulled out of The Masters with 29 holes left to play, raising concerns that he may have played his last league game at Augusta National.

The 15-time grand winner scraped into the weekend after winning by a single shot, but was battered by conditions at the start of his third round and dropped to the bottom of the standings at +9.

Cameras caught him limping heavily in Saturday’s final moments before play was suspended due to weather conditions, and Woods has now confirmed he will not be returning to the course on Sunday.

The 47-year-old was set to begin a grueling fourth day of play, in which the organizers of the Masters will attempt to complete both the third and fourth rounds, leaving Woods with 29 holes to contend with.

Fans now fear they could have seen the last of him among the azaleas in Augusta, with his potential final moments approaching as he stumbled down the seventh fairway through the rain and wind.

A few hours earlier, Woods had advanced to the third round – thanks in part to his good friend Justin Thomas dropping a shot – marking the 23rd consecutive Masters tournament he had played this weekend.

But it seems that completing the full four rounds was too much for Woods’ body, and the organizers confirm the news in a statement.

It read: ‘Due to injury, Tiger Woods has officially withdrawn from The Masters Tournament after completing seven holes of his third round.’
