Tiger strikes again! The 15-time major winner looks to build on the momentum from the incredible opening round on day two of the Genesis Invitational to cross into the weekend upon his return after seven months.

Tiger Woods hit the fairways in front of an adoring crowd for the second round of the Genesis invitational on Friday as he looked to use his momentum from an incredible opening round to carry through the weekend.

The 47-year-old birdied the last three holes to record an incredible two-under first round yesterday as he showed he can still find some form.

The American golf hero turned back the clock to record an unexpectedly impressive round, matching fellow golfers Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas step by step, often outperforming them despite constant injury concerns.

Woods headed into the clubhouse Thursday night ranked 27th in the leaderboard at 2-under while McIlroy was T6 at 4-under and Thomas was 11th at 3-under.
