Tiffany Haddish jokes about getting arrested in Beverly Hills after post-Thanksgiving DUI: ‘It was beautiful – wonderful experience!’

Tiffany Haddish joked about the opulence of the Beverly Hills jail on Monday, about a month after she was arrested in the luxury city during her second drunken binge in as many years.

Haddish, 44, was arrested early in the morning of November 24 in Beverly Hills, California on drunken driving charges when officers found her sleeping in her car with the engine running, which was parked on busy Beverly Drive at the time.

The Emmy-winning actress-comedian took the stage for a holiday set at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, where she performed at a benefit that provided people in need with meals and toys for their children.

The Afterparty star was dressed in a festive Mrs. Santa Claus-inspired ensemble as she spoke to the crowd about her time in jail after the arrest, in a clip published by TMZ.

“Girl, I know I'm okay. I've experienced much worse than this. “I'm sorry, but you weren't alive before you got arrested in Beverly Hills, okay?” she said. 'It's beautiful there. I've been to quite a few prisons – just like the rest of you – I can tell some of you have all been to prison, I still smell prison.”

Haddish joked, “If you're going to do anything, I say get arrested there because that prison is fun… that prison was fun – it's so clean!

Haddish said she had “already eaten four times” on Thanksgiving prior to her arrest so she “didn't even have to eat,” but authorities offered her “juice and stuff.”

Haddish said, “I thought, 'Oh, this is nice,'” adding that her menstrual cycle had started while she was in custody.

“I'm bleeding in jail, okay cool… but they had the best maxi pads,” Haddish said. “I've never seen pillows that big.”

Haddish joked that the maxi pads given out were large enough to use as pillows.

“I felt comfortable, it was fun,” she said. 'They gave me one of those fleece blankets that you take a nap on just like in first grade and so I did, I took a nap.

'It was beautiful, great experience!'

Haddish entered a not guilty plea on December 20 to two charges of 'driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a BAC of 0.08%'. TMZ reported.

Haddish was previously taken into custody in Peachtree City, Georgia, on January 14, 2022, after officers found her asleep behind the wheel of her car.

Haddish was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and improperly stopping on a roadway because authorities believed she was under the influence of marijuana.

In court documents reviewed by TMZ Last month, Georgia prosecutors said they “want a court to modify the bond conditions” the Girls Trip star received upon her arrest in 2022 to ban her from using drugs or alcohol, with weekly testing for both.

The Like a Boss star is full of 'regret' after her arrest on suspicion of drunkenness and wants to reject any suggestion that she has an alcohol problem, according to insiders.

Haddish, who is relieved no one was hurt due to her “mistake,” is reportedly aware that the incident defines her.

“Tiffany regrets being in the news for being arrested but is grateful no one was hurt,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. 'She's going to tackle it all and hire the right lawyers.

'She doesn't want this to define her or for people to think she needs help. She made a mistake, and it's not because she has an alcohol problem. It was just a bad thing that she got herself into and she is working on getting out of it.”

The insider added: 'She's looking forward to getting back to work and entering the new year with the prospect of finding new love and new film and TV opportunities.'

Upon her arrest last month, Beverly Hills police officers received a call at 5:45 a.m. about a person “slumped over the steering wheel while the car was moving,” according to TMZ. The vehicle was located in the middle of busy Beverly Drive, lined with stores like Pottery Barn and Sephora.

In a video obtained by the outlet, the actress and comedian is seen with her hands handcuffed behind her back as she is escorted to a patrol car. The arrest was said to have been 'peaceful' and there was no resistance.

The arrest came hours after she performed a stand-up set at The Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood for the club's 43rd annual free Thanksgiving party for the community. The Laugh Factory is about a 15-minute drive from Beverly Hills.

Photos from the Nov. 23 event showed Haddish on stage wearing a floral top, similar to the one she was wearing at the time of her arrest. She acknowledged the incident 24 hours later during another set at The Laugh Factory.

In response to an audience member who asked “what happened,” she said, “I prayed to God to send me a man with a job. A carreer. Preferably in uniform. God has answered my prayers.”

In January 2022, when she was arrested in Georgia under similar circumstances, she made a similar joke while discussing the incident with Jimmy Fallon.

Days later, she addressed the arrest during an appearance on The Tonight Show, telling host Fallon, “I can say this, Jimmy… I prayed for God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four. In uniform.'

She continued, “And now I have a really good lawyer, and we're going to figure it out together. I need to ask God for my things a little better!'
