NSW lottery players have been urged to check their Powerball tickets with one mystery winner claiming the $30 million jackpot.

The Lott revealed that the only winner of Division 1 has bought their game online for Thursday’s match, draw 1404, and will become Australia’s second biggest lottery winner of 2023 when they claim their prize.

The winning numbers for the draw were 27, 33, 19, 29, 5, 12 and 15 with the Powerball number 4.

“Imagine going to bed tonight not knowing you just won $30 million? That’s the reality for one New South Wales player after scoring division one in tonight’s Powerball draw!’ said Lott spokesman Matt Hart.

‘Although the New South Wales entry was purchased online, unfortunately we don’t have their full contact details so we can’t call them this evening.

‘Therefore we encourage anyone in New South Wales who has purchased an entry for tonight’s Powerball draw to check their entries as they could be the multimillionaire we are looking for!’

On top of the $30 million jackpot, two more division two winners took home $281,829 each, while 73 division three champions took home $4,718 each.

Mr Hart said The Lott officials are delighted to hear from the first division Powerball winner.

“While we can’t confirm victory with tonight’s winner, we can guarantee that when they find out about the news, it’s sure to be quite a mix of shock and excitement!” he said.

“In addition to seeing the huge $30 million prize pool in their bank account, this player also takes home the title of Australia’s second biggest lottery winner of 2023 to date.”
