Throuple reveal how they celebrate Christmas every year – and the ‘awkward’ family issue they have to avoid
A group who are standing up to nasty trolls about their unconventional relationship have revealed how they celebrate Christmas every year.
Five years ago, Alana, 27, and Kevin, 33, who live in Colorado, decided it was time to make a drastic change in their relationship.
The duo welcomed Megan, 37, after they matched on dating app 3Fun and officially became a threesome.
Online they now affectionately call themselves Camp Throuple, where they have 180,000 followers.
The trio have no regrets about their dating lifestyle, but it hasn’t been an easy ride, with judgmental trolls saying they’re going ‘straight to hell’.
And while most people only deal with two in-laws, they have three – a situation they admit can be ‘tricky’ during the Christmas season.
“As a group, we sometimes face challenges with family during the holidays,” Alana admitted.
“There have been misunderstandings and awkward moments from those less familiar with our relationship.

‘When we attend a festive event together, all eyes are on us.
‘Whether people already know about our relationship or are just meeting us for the first time, you can often feel the tension in the room.
‘The funny thing is that our Christmas doesn’t actually look as different as people think.
“There just happen to be three of us, but we celebrate it just like everyone else.”
Fortunately, the trio does not have to go through the dinner rounds this Christmas, so they are spared awkward conversations.
Alana said, “Because we live in another state, we are not spending the holidays in person with our families.
‘Instead we do video calls or send gifts, and plan visits at other times of the year.
‘It just helps avoid the stress of splitting time and allows us to enjoy the holidays together.’
The trio plans to go to the movies on Christmas Day and hang out at home, wearing matching onesies.

Kevin said: “Alana loves to decorate, so she sets the mood for the house. Megan is the cook and prepares the fantastic meal we have.
‘We go to the movies in the morning and spend the rest of the day together, cuddling, relaxing, drinking hot chocolate and of course watching football.’
When it’s time for bed, the trio makes sure everything stays fair.
Kevin said, “We rotate [who is the middle spoon] every night! To stay in order, we use the MAK and cheese method.’
“This simply means Megan, Alana and Kevin – this is how we remember who is in the middle, just the order we rotate in.”
“One of us may snore a little here and there, but a little push will stop that.”
Most of all, Alana, Kevin and Megan want to normalize their relationship and help people embrace that Christmas is a holiday where all kinds of love are welcome.
Megan said: ‘The holidays don’t have to look a certain way to be meaningful – what matters most is the love and intention behind the way we spend them.
