Three women, aged 20 and two men are missing for a second day after night out at bar in Newport

Three women and two men are missing for a second day after a night out at a Newport bar, as family say they are “worried sick” and have asked for help.

Sophie Russon, Eve Smith and Darcy Ross, all aged 20, were at the Muffler bar and club at Maesglas in Newport, South Wales, on Friday night before presumably heading to Trecco Bay in Porthcawl.

According to reports, the trio along with Shane Loughlin was Rafel Jeanne. The two men were said to be from Cardiff.

Relatives of the three women said none of them had been seen or heard from since 2am on Saturday, and none of them had been active on social media.

Locals have been driving between Newport and Cardiff in a desperate search. Some have searched for nearby lanes and some have even started making inquiries at nearby hotels.

Relatives of the missing girls have said it is very unusual for them to be out of touch with their families for so long.

Eve Smith, 20, is also missing. Relatives of the three women said none of them had been seen or heard from since 2 a.m. on Saturday and none of them had been active on social media

People on social media have speculated that Rafel Jeanne could also be one of the missing persons

According to her sister Lauren Doyle, Mrs. Smith’s car is still at the Muffler club.

In a message, Ms Doyle said: ‘It is known that they went to the Muffler in Maesglas and then to Trecco Bay on Friday night, but left there overnight for an unknown location.

They were last seen around 2am.

“None of them have had contact with friends or family, which is very unusual. We’re all worried and thinking the worst.’

She later added that Ms Smith’s belongings, including her car keys and debit card, were with their mother, meaning she has no access to transportation or money.

Emma Jane also took to Facebook to track down the trio.

“None of them have been in contact with friends or family, which is very unusual,” she wrote. We’re all worried and thinking the worst.’

Tori Preece, Ms Russon’s aunt, added: ‘My niece and her friends have been missing since Friday night. There has been no contact and no social media presence since the early hours of Saturday morning.

‘They were at the Muffler in Maesglas until about 11:15 a.m. and then went to Trecco Bay until about 2:00 a.m. (it is believed). They are not girls who take unnecessary risks and are always in close contact with their families.

“All families involved are very concerned. The police are involved and they are registered as missing persons.’

A relative of Shane Loughlin has also said he is missing and his family is working with police to locate him.

A post has also been shared in a local marine fishing group, in which the author urges members to get in touch if they see anything.

“Guys, if anyone saw anything, please contact the numbers shown or the police,” it read. “Families of all the missing are deathly ill. Last seen leaving Trecco Bay around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.”

A spokesman for Trecco Bay Holiday Park said: ‘We are aware of reports of five missing persons. None of these people were registered guests in the park, but we are assisting the police in their investigation.”

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said police are investigating. South Wales Police, the police force covering the Porthcawl area and beyond, is also believed to be part of the investigation.
