Three of an artistic kind… now match the painting to the celeb whose work has gone on display in the Royal Academy of Arts

A picture is worth a thousand words, or in the case of these three, a thousand one-liners.

The Royal Academy of Arts is showing works by comedians Harry Hill, Vic Reeves and Joe Lycett.

The trio, all passionate artists, beat off fierce competition for a coveted spot in the London gallery’s prestigious summer exhibition.

Tens of thousands of amateur artists submit their work each year. Those lucky enough to be selected will see their artworks displayed alongside work by Royal Academicians and other professional artists.

Together, the three comedians have contributed four works to the show. While the names of Hill, 59, and Lycett, 36, will be easily recognizable to gallery visitors, Reeves has submitted his work under his real name, Jim Moir.

The 65-year-old is exhibiting two prints at the annual exhibition, including a color circle of a bird, which has now sold out.

But can you have the final say by linking these works of art to their famous creators?

The first work is an acrylic painting of Antony and Cleopatra, which is for sale for £4,500.

The photo of the tragic duo is a real eye-catcher in this year’s exhibition.

The second piece is a glazed ceramic called Gary Clam. However, the worker bee who sewed it together has said that Gary is not for sale.

The third painting is an oil and canvas painting titled Celine’s House, in honor of singer Celine Dion.

But if you can’t wait to frame it, you’ll have to dig deep into your pockets as it carries a price tag of £1,200.
