Three family members are killed and several more including children are injured after a shooting in a California home as cops arrest suspect
Three family members were killed and several others injured in a shooting at a home in California.
Police were called to a home in Alameda, in the San Francisco Bay Area, on Wednesday evening after a resident reported that his neighbor had been shot.
Upon arrival, Alameda Police Department (APD) officers found the victim.
While clearing the home, officers found several family members with gunshot wounds, including children.
A person of interest has been arrested. Police have not yet given a motive for the shooting.

The APD said in a statement on Facebook that it received a call from a person reporting that his neighbor had been shot in the 400 block of Kitty Hawk Road in the city of Alameda.
“We are deeply saddened to report that three victims did not survive and other family members are being treated at local hospitals,” police said.
There is no information to indicate there is a danger to the public, police said, and an investigation is underway.
