Thomas Tuchel pictured on first scouting trip since starting his role as England manager – as German takes in Tottenham vs Newcastle

Thomas Tuchel has been spotted on his first scouting assignment since officially taking charge as England manager.

The former Chelsea boss watched on in north London on Saturday as Tottenham hosted Newcastle.

Tuchel is also expected to attend Liverpool versus Manchester United on Sunday, where Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Jarell Quansah, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire will hope to impress.

The former Chelsea boss has appointed fitness coach Nicolas Mayer to his staff, alongside assistant Anthony Barry, goalkeeping coach Henrique Hilario and analyst James Melbourne.
