Thomas Frank has said that Romeo Beckham is an ‘interesting player’ and he hopes he can progress to the Brentford first team after joining on loan for the rest of the season.
Beckham, 20, is under contract with Inter Miami but has been training with Brentford’s ‘B’ team since the MLS season ended in September.
Having impressed during his first few months with the club, it was decided that Beckham would stay on for the remainder of the campaign as the club looked to further assist his development.
Brentford have confirmed the loan of Romeo Beckham to their B team for the season
“Yes, I’ve seen it,” said Frank. “I think he is an interesting player. We hope, of course, like many others, that he can make it to the first team.
‘Yes, [he is] promising. Anyone who has a contract here, whether permanent or on loan, always has a chance to stay, of course.
Frank’s comments come after Beckham was praised for the way he carries himself on and off the pitch by ‘B’ side head coach Neil MacFarlane.

“We’ve been absolutely delighted with Romeo since he came to us,” said MacFarlane.
‘He came to us from Inter Miami with the goal of working with us during his closed season. Romeo has applied himself incredibly well, he’s really gotten into the culture and the group that he’s become a big part of.
I love his standards and the way he carries himself on and off the field.
He has been able to get more and more fit during his time with us and it leaves him in a good place to now step up having joined us on loan.
“I think it’s a testament to us as a club and as a B-team that Inter Miami has asked us to work with him and trusts us to continue working with him to help him with his development.”
Thomas Frank has said he thinks Beckham is an “interesting player” after his loan.
Meanwhile, Beckham himself spoke of his joy at being at the club, telling Brentford’s official website that he had “never been so excited”.
“I’m very proud and very happy to be here,” he said. “I came here at the beginning to keep fit during the off-season. Then the opportunity came to come here on loan and I’ve never been so excited.
“It was a fun season [in the USA] and there were a lot of ups and downs, but I’m excited to come here and see what I can do.’
