This morning’s Alison Hammond has to cancel her summer vacation to cover at the last minute, while Josie Gibson almost tumbles into a chaotic show

This Morning’s Alison Hammond revealed she was forced to postpone her holiday, as co-host Josie Gibson tumbled during a chaotic episode of the ITV show on Friday.

The new GBBO presenter, 48, said she changed her flight and was due to leave a day late after coming in to host at the last minute.

Josie, 38, started the show by praising her boyfriend and gushing, “May I thank you Alison, because you’re not supposed to be here today.”

Alison replied, “I was supposed to be on vacation, I canceled it for you and for the viewers, but really for you.”

With a stunned Josie asking, “You canceled just for me?”

Alison replied beaming, “I’m going tomorrow, I’ve changed my flights just for you.”

Later, Josie, who was stunned in a form-fitting canary yellow midi dress, nearly fell off her sky-high heels.

As the pair walked through the studio, Josie suddenly lost her footing but was caught by Alison.

Giggling and clearly shocked, she told the viewers, “I almost ate the floor then!”.

The duo, along with Craig Doyle and Dermot O’Leary, have held the fort during Holly Willoughby’s two-month break – without saying goodbye to the viewers.

When she returns from her long holiday in September, This Morning will revolve around the presenter, after ITV bosses decided against making big bucks by replacing Phillip Schofield.

The Daily Mail revealed that the star will have rotating co-hosts as she heads the under-threat show from Monday to Thursday, rather than chefs poaching a bigger star from a rival show or channel.

It comes after Josie shut down rumors that she was dating This Morning cameraman Sam Morter on Wednesday.

The former Big Brother winner was clearly frustrated as she took to her Instagram Stories to address the romance speculation.

Josie spoke on camera and said, “I’m going to lie down because I’m so tired of this story.” I’m not in a relationship and I’m not in love with cameraman Sam. I’m not with Sam Morter.

“I love Sam Morter, he’s my colleague at work, I’m like his older sister. I’m like his aunt. It doesn’t go that far.’

A visibly furious Josie repeated, “There’s nothing going on between me and Sam Morter. I don’t know how many times I have to say it!’.

It comes just days after Josie revealed she’s in love with a new boyfriend during Shopping With Keith Lemon on Tuesday night.

Describing her new romance, the ITV presenter said the mystery man is giving her the ‘flutters’ but denied she is in a relationship with cameraman Sam Morter.

The pair kicked up the rumor mill after sharing a cozy photo together on social media that looked like a relationship announcement.

Josie said she is in the early stages of a relationship but it seems to be going from strength to strength.

She told Keith, “There’s someone in my life right now, but it’s still in the early stages.

“It’s that part where you have the excitement, you can’t wait to see them, you get a little nervous.

‘I said I love you. It’s best to just get it out of the way, I don’t like playing games.’

Josie also shared that she never had much luck getting “talked about” when she was single.

‘I never get tired of talking, but you know what? I hated it when they started banning wolf whistles because I always loved being whistled,” she joked.
