This Morning presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard suffered a hilarious accident in the studio just before going live on Monday.
As the duo prepared to present the daytime show, their ITV co-host Lorraine Kelly, 64, hopped on to the This Morning set to ask how the duo were doing and what was going to happen next.
However, Lorraine and viewers at home were left in for a chaotic scene when Cat, 47, and Ben, 49, revealed that there had been a blunder during filming – and that some very special guests had been involved.
The presenters brought two alpacas along to film part of the programme, which left a ‘bit of a protest’ on the floor.
Ben admitted, “Well, we’ve had a little accident in the studio already. Because we brought in a couple of alpacas, Lorraine, called Bob and Dave.”

They then showed some pre-recorded footage of the animals going to the toilet in the middle of the This Morning studio. It looked pretty messy.
Lorraine responded in shock: ‘Oh, thank you for that – oh no!’, to which Cat interjected: ‘There was a little protest [with the alpacas]it didn’t stop!’
Ben joked: “We’re still tidying up, Lorraine,” just before the clip cut ahead of This Morning’s scheduled 10am start time.
“Oh, good luck you two, grab your shovels and get to work! You can’t miss it, as always,” Lorraine laughed.
Viewers were quick to respond to the footage via X (formerly Twitter), saying:
‘#thismorning @thismorning Is everyone enjoying their breakfast after that alpaca clip?’
‘Why do I see an alpaca pooping? #VanMorgen.’
‘They look suspicious, those alpacas #VanMorgen.’

Singer Russell Watson made an appearance during the show, as he was celebrating his 25th anniversary – and he also got the chance to interact with the adorable animals
Viewers quickly rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to react to the footage
‘I would enter the competition right now if I could win a herd of alpacas #ThisMorning.’
‘I don’t understand why they didn’t take that rug down, because the alpacas were standing on it, what could happen #Tomorrow.’
“Come on alpaca, spit on someone #ThisMorning.”
The show also featured singer Russell Watson to celebrate his 25th anniversary and he also had the chance to talk to the animals.
The star spoke to Cat and Ben about how he now lives on a farm and has a ‘massive amount’ of animals, including alpacas, claiming that these animals are ‘amazing’ for his mental health.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary are reportedly set to remain as lead presenters of the show on This Morning this summer, after ITV bosses won a dramatic tug-of-war with rival channels.
The series is said to be hoping for increased ratings thanks to the duo, after Cat and Ben took on the lead roles in March.
Dermot, 51, and Alison, 49, were both booked on shows for rival channels, with ITV scrambling to secure them for the summer.
There were rumors that Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson might take over the roles, but a source confirmed The sun That Friday, presenters Alison and Dermot were stuck for weeks.
“Viewers love Alison and Dermot so it was a priority to sign them up for the summer,” they said.
‘Josie and Craig are great, but the bosses couldn’t risk losing their best names when the show was in the spotlight.
‘We hope Ali and Dermot have a good summer so that business picks up when Cat and Ben return in September.’
Since the arrival of Cat and Ben, the morning show’s viewing figures have halved to a whopping 486,000.
Last Friday, however, the show, presented by Alison and Dermot, attracted 620,000 viewers.
