This morning's viewers begged producers to make Emma Willis and Rylan Clark the full-time replacements for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
The former Big Brother presenter, 47, and X Factor star, 35, took center stage on the show on Friday, much to the delight of excited viewers, who praised their on-screen chemistry.
Twitter users wrote: 'What a fantastic week with @Rylan and @EmmaWillis. I haven't enjoyed the show this much in a long time!!!…just announce @EmmaWillis and @Rylan as the main presenters! There is no one better'.
In October, Holly left the show after 14 years – months after her longtime co-star and close friend Phillip left in the wake of the shocking scandal surrounding his 'ill-considered but not illegal' affair with a younger colleague on the show.
News of their replacements has been circulating ever since, as a carousel of stars including Dermot O'Leary, Cat Deeley and Alison Hammond have been in attendance ahead of the permanent fixture being installed.

This Morning fans were delighted on Monday when Emma, who replaced presenter Cat from last week, and Rylan reunited to present the ITV show.
Emma previously hosted Big Brother during its previous incarnation on Channel 5, while Rylan, 35, fronted sister show Bit On The Side, and the duo have co-hosted This Morning in the past.
On Friday, viewers quickly flooded Twitter with pleas to make the collaboration permanent, reaching out to the producers on the microblogging site.

'Who thinks @thismorning should give @Rylan and @EmmaWillis a permanent job on the show #ThisMorning @ITV I think you should give them a permanent job.'
However, it seems unlikely the duo will be permanent as Josie Gibson, who is currently on I'm A Celeb, is only a 50/1 chance to replace Holly.
The favorite to replace Holly is Loose Women's Christine Lampard.
Holly left the show last month 'for the sake of her family' after discovering she was the target of a foiled kidnap and murder plot and has not been permanently replaced since.
