Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 Publisher Focus Entertainment is building hype for the game’s upcoming launch with a raffle that will allow participants to win a carefully designed, totally insane PlayStation 5.
From a hardware perspective, this is still a standard disc-based PS5, but it features the azure colors of the Ultramarines, the protagonist’s chapter in Space Marine 2Sergeant Titus. The edge of the console has a gilded border with Imperial skulls and Aquilas scattered across the cracked and cratered face. On top, for added protection, is the Iron Halo of the Emperor.
A pair of stone columns frame the console on either side, while the base is covered with rubble and ironwork, which conveniently serves as a terrain for the Warhammer 40,000 table game. It’s not entirely clear whether the console itself is permanently attached to the base, but maybe that’s a good thing, because this thing looks like it could seriously damage your floors if it ever falls over.
I’ll admit that the console itself looks great, but the controller itself seems a bit awkward to use with all those visible rivets (ouch!).
