This last-minute Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 leak has revealed pricing and specs

We’re now just hours away from the launch of the Google Pixel 8, the Pixel 8 Pro and the Pixel Watch 2, and all of these devices will be unveiled later today (October 4). But there may not be much to reveal, as some last-minute leaks have seemingly revealed just about everything about the phones, along with pricing for the watch.

In a flood of messages on X (via Telephone Arena And NotebookCheck), leak @MysteryLupin has shared prices, spec lists and marketing images of the phones, and while we can’t be sure these are accurate – especially since this is a new leak, or perhaps an old one with a new name – the images certainly look real, and the rest is believable.

Starting with the prices, they claim the Pixel 8 will cost $699 (about £575 / AU$1,105) with 128GB of storage, rising to $759 (about £625 / AU$1,200) with 256GB.

As for the Pixel 8 Pro, it apparently starts at $999 (about £825 / AU$1,580), for which you get 128GB of storage, and goes up to $1,059 (about £875 / AU$1,675) for 256GB, and $1,179 (about £970 / AU$1,865) for 512GB. If true, both phones would cost $100 more than their predecessors.

This post and others from the source also show some marketing images of the phones, mostly of people holding them while smiling, laughing and working. There’s not much to see here that we haven’t already seen, as Google itself has shown off the design of the Pixel 8 line, but it’s incredibly unlikely that these images are fake.

Next we get to the spec lists, which don’t hold many surprises given how heavily leaked these phones have already been, but these lists are among the most detailed we’ve seen yet.

Key listed specifications of the Pixel 8 include a 6.2-inch 1080 x 2400 display, a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle, a 10.5 MP front-facing snapper, a 4,575 mAh battery, a Tensor G3 chipset and 8 GB of RAM.

As for the Pixel 8 Pro, that is listed as having a 6.7-inch 1344 x 2992 screen, a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP telephoto, the latter oddly having 4.5x optical zoom, rather than the 5x of its predecessor.

The Pixel 8 Pro is also said to have a 10.5MP selfie camera, a 5,050mAh battery, a Tensor G3 chipset, and 12GB of RAM.

Pixel Watch 2 priced and advertised

As for the Pixel Watch 2, today’s leaks are a little less extensive, but we have pricing, with the wearable apparently starting at $349 and going up to $399. The wording of the message is somewhat unclear, but based on the original Pixel Watch is likely to have the lower of these prices for the Wi-Fi version and the higher for the LTE model.

In that case, US prices would be the same as the previous model, so prices elsewhere could be too. That could mean £340 / AU$550 for the Wi-Fi model and £380 / AU$650 for the LTE model.

In addition, the same source also shared a short video ad for the Pixel Watch 2, highlighting its heart rate monitor, stress tracking, the ability to let you share your real-time location, sleep tracking and more, and claiming that there will be a battery life of 24 hours, even if the display is always on.

For everything else about the Pixel Watch 2, the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro, you won’t have long to wait, as the launch starts at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm BST (which is on October 5 at 12pm for Australian viewers).
