A Melbourne woman has revealed the 'genius' reason why she keeps a pair of pink silicone pliers in her car.
Brittany Nash admits she's not the best driver and often struggles to reach the ticket machines in car parks.
Instead of putting the car in park, unbuckling her seat belt and awkwardly reaching out the window, she uses the pliers instead.
“Every time someone new comes into my car they always say, 'Brit, why do you have pliers in your car?'” Brittany said in a TikTok video.
“Okay, good question, but I have an even better answer.”
Brittany Nash from Melbourne keeps a pair of pliers in her car because she can never reach the parking meters because her arms are too short
“You know, when you get to those parking lot barriers and there's a ticket machine there, I can never get close enough to the ticket machine without my handy dandy little pliers,” she continued.
Brittany said the pliers were her “solution” to “being a bad driver” and she doesn't care what others think.
'If someone is behind me, they always laugh at me. I look at them in the rearview mirror,” she added.
'But you know what? I'd rather be that fool with the pliers who is a little smart than that person who likes to untie and open the door. How embarrassing! Okay, pliers for life.”

The short clip quickly went viral and has since been viewed more than 212,000 times, with many praising Britt for sharing the tip.
“As someone who is short, this is genius,” one person commented, while another said: “This is SO clever!!”
“I'm so doing this. I need to buy some pliers with silicone grips,” a third admitted.
“Please use them at Macca's drive-through,” someone else added.
Another person tagged a friend and said he's “going to buy some pliers right away.”
