Chrissy Metz has split from her boyfriend, Bradley Collins, after three years of dating.
The 43-year-old This Is Us star and the author released a joint statement via Instagram on Friday announcing their split, saying they still ‘love each other very much.’
“After three and a half years together, we have decided to amicably end our romantic relationship,” the statement read.
‘While we continue to love each other dearly, we believe this is the best path for both of us. We still have books to write, songs to sing, and a special friendship to keep us in each other’s lives forever.’
The pair met via the dating app Bumble, with Chrissy making their relationship Instagram official in 2020.

The actress dished up the start of the relationship on Radio Andy in 2021, saying: ‘Who knew I had to go on the old Bumble? But I have no shame.’
Chrissy was in Nashville for work and then decided to stay in town, in part to be within driving distance of her mother who had ‘gone into medical trouble’.
She explained: ‘So it wasn’t anything I expected or planned, but I was like, “I’m kind of bored, so let me try the old Bumble.”
Women have to send the first message on Bumble which was part of the attraction for Chrissy, she revealed to host Andy Cohen on the show.
The Florida-born TV actress said that ‘I love the idea of the woman taking the first step. I think it’s so cool. I like that!’
Admitting that “of course you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince,” Chrissy revealed that when she signed up to the platform, “there was a question and I had to make sure I was the person I said I am.’
But even though she verified her identity for the platform, she also “didn’t post a ton on my profile because I thought that would weed out the people who might want to talk to me for any reason other than a genuine one .’
She added: ‘But I remember seeing a guy’s picture and he was an aspiring writer and he had a This Is Us coffee mug and I was like, “Ugh, I can’t. I can no! Like, hat would just be too weird.” And then I was like, “Oh, that’s sweet, but I can’t.”

Chrissy recalls, “So yeah, of course you talk to some people, and you know it’s just like, “Oh, we don’t click. We don’t vibe.” And you know, you like to think the best of every situation.’
She commented: ‘But interestingly, me and Bradley have all the same friends. He knows all the same songwriters. He has been in music publishing for 16 years.’
The Talking To God singer said: ‘And so we were in the same rooms but we’ve never met so I was so good I feel like, you know, it was meant to be sure, like that.’
