A gardener has revealed her best hack for getting rid of flies, mosquitoes and insects in minutes.
All you have to do is mix a few ingredients in a bowl and set a trap for the pesky insects.
Barbara O’Neill shared her flawless recipe on Facebook, along with the stunning results.
To make it, mix half a cup of vinegar, half a cup of olive oil, and half a cup of shampoo.
Place the bowl in the kitchen and wait for the insects to come to it. Let the mixture sit for a few hours, or until you feel the insects have been trapped. Repeat if necessary.
A gardener revealed a hack that can get rid of flies, mosquitoes and insects in minutes
Another Australian cleaning and organization guru previously shared her simple hack to prevent mold and pests in your wardrobe.
Anita Birges, who leads Mise en Place Professional Organizingrecommended to use large pieces of chalk along with essential oils of clove, lavender and peppermint to solve all your problems.
The expert simply adds a few drops of clove oil to a giant chalk marker and places it in her drawer to absorb moisture and kill mold spores.
You can find the chalk at several Australian retailers, including Kmart – where you can buy a pack of 20 for just $3.25.
Anita recommends placing the DIY deterrents on the side of your drawers and on the top shelf of your wardrobe, without a tray.
The pro also revealed that it’s best to stick to white chalk so that pigment doesn’t end up on your clothes.
You will need some drops of lavender oil on another piece of chalk to remove moths and silverfish.
Finally, peppermint oil works wonders to keep your drawers smelling fresh and discourages spiders, mice, and other creepy crawlies.
Anita recommends putting two to three drops of essential oil per giant piece of chalk.
She buys all her oils from her local pharmacy.
