This glamorous Kansas City nanny has a fascinating part-time job that pays very well – can you guess what it is?

A full-time nanny from Kansas City has shared her glamorous part-time job as a celebrity lookalike after years of being compared to a famous singer.

Kelley Thrasher, 40, has been told she looked like famous pop star Taylor Swift for 14 years.

And she has now managed to turn it into a second lucrative career, with Thrasher revealing that she earns more in two hours pretending to be Swift than she did in a whole week when she worked as a teacher.

Thrasher hadn’t paid much attention to the comments until she attended a Swift concert, where she found herself in a scary situation.

The concert was twelve years ago, during Swift’s Speak Now Tour, when Thrasher was harassed by fans who mistook her for real.

She had worn a Taylor Swift costume for Halloween the year before and decided to wear it again for the concert.

‘Children. Mothers. Everywhere. It’s me and two of my friends. We’re trying to get away. One of my friends pulled me out of the crowd and said, ‘She’s not Taylor!'” Thrasher said The Kansas City star.

She added that people kept approaching her throughout the concert asking for photos because they found the experience “a little scary, to be honest.”

Thrasher was encouraged by a friend after the concert to consider working as a Taylor Swift tribute artist, the outlet reported, but it took a chance meeting with Bruno Mars to push her toward the gig.

Mars was so convinced she was the real Taylor Swift that he sent free drinks to a woman he thought was his showbiz friend.

She decided to accept invitations to appear at parties in June Daily starand said she was initially hesitant because she “didn’t want to mislead people, especially children.”

Since she started, she spoke to one of the party organizers who said “the kids don’t even care – they love Taylor and will be impressed either way.”

Thrasher says her star has risen even further locally thanks to a happy coincidence. The real Swift is now a regular in Kansas City thanks to her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, further increasing local interest.

“I get stopped a lot because there’s always a chance that Taylor could actually be in Kansas while Travis Kelce is playing here,” she told the outlet.

After starting just a few weeks ago, Thrasher said she’s already done four shows and is fully booked for most of September.

Thrasher said, “The way I see it, Taylor can't be everywhere at once, just like Santa Claus. I'm just Taylor's helper, because it's impossible to be in all places at once.'

‘The money is good: I earn more in two hours than in a week when I worked as a teacher. “The first party I went to, all the guests fell silent, everyone was so excited,” she told the Daily Star.
