This genius Christmas trick will halve your wrapping time: ‘I’ll never use paper again’

Australians have discovered a 'genius' method to halve your Christmas prep time – and it will also save you hundreds of dollars over the years.

Many have abandoned traditional wrapping paper in favor of convenient, reusable drawstring gift bags – which look sleek and take just seconds to put together.

One mother recently said she wrapped 50 presents in less than an hour by simply putting them in the bags and pulling the strings.

“Wrapping presents was my most hated job at Christmas and this has revolutionized it,” she said in a post. 'They are reusable, so quite environmentally friendly! I got mine from Amazon, $20 for 50, different sizes. I will never wrap a present in paper again!'

Hundreds of others have praised the bags for making packing so quick and easy.

“I have problems with my dexterity so these bags were a godsend for me,” said one woman. “I've been using them for about five years now and everyone loves them.”

“My grandma has been taking these for years and I have been reusing the meds I was given,” another added.

“Bonus is they're also great for disguising things,” said one mom.

The bags are available online at Amazon, Kmart and several other gift shops.

Those concerned about waste have also discovered several ways to use the bags.

“You can get them as a birthday gift too, not just a Christmas gift,” one man wrote.

'These are great, makes packing so easy! We have used and reused them for the past two years,” said another.

But others dismissed the 'thoughtless' hack.

“Looks so cheap and not thought out at all,” one person claimed.

'My kids love unwrapping paper and tearing it off. The bags may save me time, but part of their fun is tearing the paper,” said one mother. “Bags don't come close.”

“Am I the only one who enjoys literally wrapping every gift, putting on bows and curling ribbon, and then writing out the labels for everyone?” someone asked.
