This former child star who appeared in iconic Tom Cruise 90s blockbuster looks unrecognizable as he debuts new hairstyle – can you guess who it is?

This famous child star looks unrecognizable in a new photo shared to his Instagram last week.

The actor, now 32, once starred as a sassy platinum blonde-haired kid alongside Tom Cruise in an iconic ’90s blockbuster.

It appears he is now growing his hair out and shared a photo of his new shoulder-length, long blonde locks on his social media last week.

The photo was taken at an event at a football stadium in Texas, and he looked sharp for the occasion in a black tuxedo and black cowboy hat.

But can you guess who it is?

To seem familiar? The child actor, now 32, who co-starred with Tom Cruise in an iconic ’90s film, looks unrecognizable in a new photo, with long blonde locks. Can you guess who it is?

That’s right, it’s Jerry Maguire child star Jonathan Lipnicki!

Lipnicki debuted the striking new hairstyle almost thirty years ago since starring in Tom Cruise’s smash hit.

The entertainer — who was known for his role as Renee Zellweger’s son Ray Boyd in the 1996 film — captioned the photo with a cowboy emoji.

Lipnicki made his film debut at the age of six in the Oscar-winning classic as a sassy platinum blonde-haired child.

His fans seemed to enjoy the transformation, with one commenting: ‘Yeehawww, cowboy! That’s a beautiful sight.’

“Your hair is growing so amazingly long,” another added. ‘Guy. That hair!!!’ Someone else agreed.

In another photo shared to his Instagram in May, he sported longer curly locks and ditched the round glasses as he gave a sneak peek of his recent work.

In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at a film he’s working on, Jonathan shows off his passion for martial arts, revealing he’s a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt.

Jonathan is also busy with work and has five upcoming projects on his list IMDb page, including horror ‘Camp Pleasant Lake’ where he stars alongside Michael Paré and Bonnie Aarons – which will be released in February 2024 – and thriller ‘They Two’.

Jonathan also appeared in the E4 series Celebs Go Dating in 2018, alongside Sam Thompson, Gemma Collins and Ollie Locke, where he took Rebecca Mason to LA.

Earlier this year, he joined Jeffrey Dahmer production company Buffalo 8 as an executive producer and also taught “actors gym” classes.

As a child, after starring in Jerry Maguire, he landed roles on The Single Guy, The Jeff Foxworthy Show and episodes of Dawson’s Creek.

He then appeared in the sitcom Meego and became a hit again when he starred in the hit film Stuart Little in 1999.

He played a boy whose family adopts a talking mouse. Stuart was voiced by former child star Michael J. Fox.

In 2002, he reprized the role in the film’s sequel, also appearing in 2000’s The Little Vampire and 2002’s Bow Wow in Like Mike.

In 2016, Jonathan revealed to DailyMail.com that since Jerry Maguire, it has been difficult to get film directors and producers to see him as anything other than the cute boy from the movie.

He said being an actor is a constant pursuit and considered himself fortunate to have a mentor in the form of his former co-star Tom Cruise, with whom he remains in touch to this day.

Jonathan trains diligently in martial arts and says that staying in top physical condition keeps him centered and mentally strong in the dog-eat-dog world of Hollywood. Moreover, having a six-pack also helps you book more jobs.

Recalling life on the film set as a five-year-old, Lipnicki said, “Every year the memories become fewer and fewer, but Tom and Renee were truly wonderful to work with. Everyone was a pleasure to work with, and I was fortunate that this was my first role in such a positive environment. What I remember is how warm everyone was to me.”

Lipnicki describes Cruise with the highest regard and calls him his role model. He also admires how Cruise does all his own stunts, something he admits he would like to do more of himself.

He explained: ‘I’d like to do more stunts, I just haven’t had the chance to do anything too crazy yet. I had a fight scene with Danny Trejo in Bad Ass 2 a few years ago, which was fun. I would like to do that more.’

Speaking about how Cruise has been there to give him career advice, he continued, “If I have a question, he’s been very open when I need advice. He has always said that if you have any questions the door is always open and he has always been very responsive and helpful.”
