Thiago Silva couldn’t resist making a jibe at EAFC 24’s expense after they gave him a rating he disagreed with for their upcoming game.

The Chelsea defender joked that the developers should ‘watch football with their eyes closed’ when told about his rating, which has fallen.

EAFC, the successor to the FIFA game series, will be released on September 29 and EA will announce several player ratings.

Silva has been given a rating of 84, down two, putting him on par with Reece James and just two behind Chelsea’s top-rated star, Christopher Nkunku.

“They don’t watch football, they watch the games like this (with their eyes closed),” he said, covering his eyes with a video on the Premier League YouTube channel.

“This year I think I can improve my offense because I’m good defensively.”

Reviews from several players have apparently been leaked ahead of release. It looks like Cristiano Ronaldo is at 86 for his lowest rating in 16 years, while Lionel Messi will go into the game as one of the best in the world with a rating of 90.
