‘They’ll be fine’: Jamie Carragher backs Wolves to STAY in Premier League after draw with Fulham, while Gary Neville insists Julen Lopetegui’s leadership gives him ‘confidence’ club will survive
Jamie Carragher believes Wolverhampton have enough quality to stay in the Premier League this season and have the potential to thrive under Julen Lopetegui’s guidance.
Wolves scored first at Craven Cottage on Friday night before Fulham equalized in the second half through a Manor Solomon goal.
The visitors were denied three points on their trip to the capital, but further distanced themselves from the Premier League relegation zone as their impressive form continued.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher insists that Wolverhampton’s ability to spend big, combined with Lopetegui’s years of experience, puts them in an excellent position for the future.
“I think with the quality they have they will be fine and if they stick next season they will be where you expect them to be,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui helped lead the team away from the relegation zone.
‘They spend money and if Wolves hold up they will have a top quality manager.
Wolves reinvested in their top-flight survival with the £45m acquisition of Matheus Cunha from Atletico Madrid in January, capping off a summer of spending on new recruits.
Former England international Karen Carney believes Wolverhampton supporters will be “frustrated” with the club’s inability to bring in a top-tier striker, insisting that the hopefuls to survive “don’t have a recognized striker who has scored in almost a year.” .
But Gary Neville believes they have enough quality in their current team to maintain their position among England’s elite.

“At half time I thought they could get that second goal and trap Fulham, but they didn’t in the second half tonight and Fulham are a good team,” Neville said.
“When I have seen Wolves in the last four or five years, they have lacked that spark. With Lopetegui as coach they will get better and better.
