They call it puppy love! Naomi Watts gets a VERY sloppy kiss from a giant Great Dane on the set of her movie The Friend in New York City

Naomi Watts received a very sloppy kiss from her giant Great Dane co-star on the set of her film The Friend in New York City on Tuesday.

The veteran actress, 55, snuggled up to her canine co-star as she filmed scenes for the movie.

Naomi kept herself cozy in a big blue overcoat paired with black trousers and stylish leather dress shoes for the scenes.

She added a pop of color to her look with a red and blue patterned scarf wrapped around her neck, which complemented her blonde locks which were styled into a chic bob.

At one point, she knelt on the sidewalk to share a tender moment with her furry companion.

The Friend is based on the novel of the same name by Sigrid Nunez, which was originally published in 2018.

The book focuses on a writer who takes in an elderly Great Dane after the owner, who also happened to be one of her close friends, dies unexpectedly.

Deadline initially revealed that The Friend would be adapted for the big screen in February 2022.

At the time, it was revealed that Naomi had been cast as the film’s lead and that Scott McGehee and David Siegel would co-direct the project.

Physical production for the film adaptation of the novel began last month in New York City.

The expected premiere date of The Friend has not yet been announced to the public.

Naomi is also preparing to premiere the finale of the historical drama series Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, in which she plays Babe Paley.

The show, which is based on writer Truman Capote’s real-life conflict with a group of socialites, made its debut last January.
