These are the best titles you can buy during GameStop 4’s used sale for $40
After the deluge of great games of 2023 and the strong start to 2024, I’m not sure how anyone has any room left in their backlog. But if you’re open to welcoming more discs into your life, you might want to keep an eye out for the used game sales happening right now at GameStop.
The retailer has a line of games that it sells for 4 for $40, regardless of list price. Look for the green “4 for $40 second hand” flag at the top of every game on this page. Unfortunately, this promotion comes with a big caveat: it only applies to in-store pickup. Not only that, if your local GameStop doesn’t have the games you added to your cart online, you’ll need to find another game that’s in stock for the sale prices to take effect.
There are a lot of games to browse, so I’m going to save you the work and list a few handfuls of the best titles in this sale for you to consider.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Edition for PS5 is eligible for the 4 for $40 deal. If you haven’t played this game yet, here is the final version. It includes the base game, four DLC packs, plus the fantastic Return to Castlevania expansion that pays tribute to the game that inspired the design.

Octopath traveler 2 for PS4 falls into the 4 for $40 category. For an RPG that harkens back to the genre’s SNES glory days, this one is a must-buy. It follows the stories of various team members and sharpens the franchise’s signature 2D-meets-3D visuals. Since this is a physical disc, inserting it into a PS5 will allow you to download that version if you wish.

Strayed for Xbox Series X is part of the 4 for $40 deal. After a long period as an exclusive sci-fi cat simulator for PlayStation Strayed was released on Xbox at the end of 2023, so it’s nice to be able to pick it up now at a nice discount at GameStop. For those who have the Strayed Train, the game captures the essence of cats with stunning realism (plus, it offers a button to meow on command).
Resident Evil 2 for PS4 is in the 4 for $40 promotion. I can’t say enough good things about this one. Capcom’s debut remake for the Resident Evil series has yet to be surpassed in my opinion. Plus, it encourages multiple playthroughs as you can change the perspective to Leon or Claire. By inserting this PS4 disc into your PS5, you are entitled to the digital PS5 version for free.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty for Xbox Series X is part of the 4 for $40 deal. If you like Soulslike games, Wed long was by the way one of the shining stars of 2023 Lies from P. To our reviewer, Wed long delivered smart, evolutionary upgrades to the formula, as we’ve come to expect from Team Ninja’s expertise, seen in a number of previous games, such as Nioh.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion for Xbox is part of the 4 for $40 promotion. Square Enix has heard enough from you that it’s too difficult and too expensive to experience the PSP exclusive Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7, so it was remastered for modern consoles, with great results. It is not required material before playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthbut it’s still worth playing if you like the series.

Resident evil village for PS5 is part of the 4 for $40 deal. This is the latest installment in the main Resident Evil storyline, available for a real bargain. It follows Ethan Winters, and while the story focuses on his attempts to find his missing daughter, it’s also a sad story about how much abuse a man’s arm and hands can take (his digits are constantly graphically abused, as if it were a has comic effect). ).
Chivalry 2 for PS5 is part of the 4 for $40 sale. If you have an online subscription to PS Plus and you like the idea of committing wanton violence in a medieval premise, then this is worth picking up. The game’s main mode pits you in an all-out war where you run, scream and wave to drop your enemies before they drop you. Risk of rain 2 for Switch is on sale 4 for $40, and well worth your money. If you enjoy Hell divers 2, Risk of rain 2 will fit into your life so smoothly that you’ll wonder why you ever went without it. This roguelike game can be played solo, but is much more fun (and a bit easier) online with friends. You’ll face waves of enemies that become increasingly overwhelming as time goes on, and there are plenty of classes, each with their own moves, skills and weapons to master.
