He told the showbiz show’s Cassie DiLaura: ‘My cancer diagnosis is kind of on hold right now, so to speak, and [I’m] very grateful for very good doctors and very good modern cancer treatment that has improved enormously.
‘People shouldn’t be afraid of it, you know. Just go get your cystoscopy done, get your colonoscopy done, get your heart checked. Do all that, do it on time.”
The Titanic actor first announced the good news to his fans during a Facebook Live session in August.

Top dog: The German-born actor plays Victor Newman on the long-running CBS soap opera
He thanked his followers for their thoughts and prayers, adding that they helped him find strength during his health battle.
“I can tell you that it obviously helped because I had my last cystoscopy two days ago — that’s when they put a camera in your bladder — and I’m cancer-free,” the soap opera star revealed.
Although his famous Young And The Restless character was initially only set to appear on the series for a limited time, Eric’s portrayal of Victor Newman was so popular that his character’s arc was expanded.
The German-born actor had already established himself in Hollywood twenty years before his famous soap role in the 1980s.
He was regularly cast as a German soldier or German villain in the 1960s. At one point in his acting career, he was told by a Universal Studios executive that he would never be cast as the lead in a film if he had a German. name.
The talented television and film actor proved the director wrong: he still plays Victor, the character everyone loves to hate, to this day on The Young And The Restless.
However, the powerful octogenarian was sidelined in April this year after a urologist discovered ‘high-grade’ cancer cells in his bladder.
The cancer was so severe that the Wonder Woman star could no longer urinate.

Despite his stressful prognosis, the Titanic star found solace in acting.
“I’m happy to be able to go to work,” the Murder She Wrote star said during his Facebook Live video where he initially announced his cancer diagnosis.
Back to the video where Eric revealed he was cancer-free, the accomplished film and television actor noted that doctors “couldn’t find a damn thing” when they searched the area where they initially found cancer cells.
“Isn’t that nice?” said the Mary Tyler Moore star.
However, the How I Met Your Mother star isn’t completely out of the woods yet.
He is still waiting for the results of an MRI that will verify whether or not the cancer has spread to other parts of his body.
Despite that extra health detail, Eric made sure to convey his gratitude for the gift of life, saying, “I love life, man. Why wouldn’t I? I’m working on the number 1 show. It’s been number 1 for 38 years. Why should I complain? That would be obscene.’
