The world’s sexiest athlete Alica Schmidt and fellow German track star Michelle Janiak run out of the sea after spotting a thief stealing their stuff from the beach… but it’s a VERY surprising ‘crook’
This is the moment stunning athletics stars Alicia Schmidt and Michelle Janiak were forced to flee the sea after seeing a surprise thief steal their belongings from the beach.
The sporty German duo were cooling off in the water during a swim in Kogel Bay, off the coast of South Africa.
Before hitting the water, Schmidt, 25, who has been dubbed the “world’s sexiest athlete,” films herself in a white dress and sunglasses, laughing next to Janiak as they walk through the water on a secluded beach.
As the couple steps through the rippling water in their flip-flops, Schmidt turns the camera, giving viewers a glimpse of her incredible surroundings.
Vast mountain ranges and lush green hills can be seen surrounding the idyllic beach, but the running couple’s relaxing outing wouldn’t last much longer.

The German runners took to the water and showed off their beautiful figures in summer bikinis
They soon noticed something suspicious about the camera they had set up and came running back from the sea
Footage showed the athletes screaming as they saw some of their snacks stolen
The wholesome footage is then converted into a shot of the athletes’ backs as they run into open water in bikinis.
Schmidt dons a green string bikini, while Janiak shows off her incredible figure in a blue swimsuit.
As the wind blows through their blonde locks and the ocean waves crash around their legs, the friends playfully splash each other until they notice something suspicious on camera.
The pair both turn to the camera with stunned expressions on their faces before running back to their belongings.
As they jump over the ripples of the water, the women try to sprint back and you can hear them shouting as they come back onto the sand.
With only their legs in view of the camera, they jump forward before the footage cuts to a surprise ‘crook’ holding something that isn’t theirs.
High on a rock sits a brown baboon, holding a red packet of chips.
Schmidt zooms in on the primate munching on the snacks he’s treated himself to, straight from the runner’s bag.
You can watch the furry thief as he uses his nimble fingers to pluck out the food before brutally eating it without a care in the world.

Schmidt competes in 400m events with the German athletics team and was part of the group that traveled to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
Schmidt shared the hilarious images on her TikTok, where she has no fewer than two million followers.
The athlete, who has been dubbed the ‘sexiest athlete alive’, also has a whopping five million followers on Instagram, where she regularly posts photos and clips of her preparation for races and track events.
She competes for her country in the 400 meters and was part of the German relay team that traveled to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, although she did not compete.
Janiak, 26, also competes for Germany and is a one-time national champion and one-time national indoor champion.
The thieving baboon incident comes after Schmidt revealed last month how she turned down a huge ‘high six-figure’ sponsorship deal because she ‘didn’t feel comfortable’.
She is a representative of Hugo Boss, but claimed last year that her main salary comes from German sports foundation Sporthilfe, which pays her just £600 (€700) a month – and only because she plays for her national team, according to Image.
But despite that modest base salary, Schmidt spoke out about turning down the lucrative endorsement from a “well-known” company, saying she had to be “100 percent behind” a brand before joining it.
She says: ‘Two months ago I received an offer from a well-known brand. But I wasn’t 100 percent behind it. I don’t feel comfortable with that. That would have been mid to high six figures for a campaign.”
Schmidt has previously spoken about an athlete’s struggle to generate a regular income, saying that the money she gets for competing is not enough to live on.
“In principle I have to say that it is not easy for most German track and field athletes to make a living from the sport,” she told the German publication.
