World Cup’s ‘sexiest fan’ infuriates locals in Qatar and risks arrest under the country’s strict laws as she poses in a racy G-string swimsuit in Doha

A Croatian Instagram model who has been dubbed the sexiest fan of the 2022 FIFA World Cup has taken her patriotism to a risky new level by parading through Qatar in a G-string bathing suit, in clear defiance of local customs.

Former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll turned heads in her country’s first football match at the World Cup.

On her way to Al-Bayat stadium for the game against Morocco, the Croatian beauty wore a plunging red and white checkerboard dress to show off her patriotism.

Knoll has now doubled down with a racy video of her parading along a waterway in Qatar while wearing even less on Instagram, with the caption: ‘watch me tomorrow at 5pm [German tabloid television show] Tafshow on @prosieben’.

Her latest post is flirting with more than just football fans, the Croatian now faces the very real prospect of being sent to prison by hapless Qatari officials.

“Visitors (both men and women) are expected to show respect for local culture by avoiding overly revealing clothing in public,” Qatar’s tourism authority warned ahead of the World Cup.

‘It is generally recommended for men and women to ensure their shoulders and knees are covered’

Several of Knoll’s posts on Wednesday even tagged FIFA, which has reiterated Qatar’s strict rules regarding clothing

While Knoll’s first outfit revealed her considerable assets, it at least covered most of her body, including a hood.

The latest swimsuit model from her wardrobe of patriotism skates much closer to the lines of modesty that Qatar officials outlined ahead of the start of the World Cup.

“Allo police Qatar,” a fan posted on her video.

‘Respect the country and our religion wtf?’ asked another.

“Shame on you respect other people’s culture,” another posted.

“Where’s the Qatari About You?” asked another with two crying face emojis.

Huge fines and even prison sentences are imposed on fans who show their numbers in Qatar. Non-Qatari women are not required to wear an abaya, but their tops and dresses must cover their midriff and shoulders.

In addition, women traveling to the Arab nation are prohibited from wearing tight clothing or showing their cleavage. WAGs were advised to cover their breasts with a scarf around their neck.
