The world according to John Fury: Tommy must FORGET about Molly-Mae Hague and baby Bambi to beat KSI, rules will be ‘non-existent’ when Tyson faces Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua will ‘NEVER’ fight Deontay Wilder

Tommy and Tyson Fury are just weeks away from being involved in two of the biggest fights of the year.

On October 14, Tommy will take on KSI in a fight that will capture the public’s imagination, selling out the Manchester AO Arena within hours. Two weeks later, his older sibling Tyson steps into the ring for a huge crossover clash with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia.

There is some unpredictability as to how the two unorthodox match-ups could play out, but one thing is clear: the two brothers will have the full support of their father John Fury.

The outspoken 59-year-old has never shied away from the spotlight during the rise of the Fury family and took center stage at last month’s press conference to promote Tommy’s fight with KSI as he turned tables and kicked to bring the event to a climax . premature end.

His confidence in his two sons is unwavering, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t expect an easy night for both of them.

It looks like Tommy will enter the ring against KSI as the favorite after beating Jake Paul earlier this year, but John has no intention of letting him rest on his laurels.

Fury Sr insists he will continue to push the 24-year-old to his limits as he trains for the huge domestic showdown, which means putting his family life with fiancée Molly-Mae and their baby Bambi on the back burner.

‘He has to leave his other life outside boxing as if he doesn’t have it. When you come to training camp you have nothing,” John told Mail Sport.

“You eat, drink, sleep, train, repeat. That’s all you do for eight weeks. And if he wants to Facetime his partner, he does that too. He comes home for an hour at the weekend, which we don’t mind, because he is very professional. And that’s it. Just train, train, train.”

Tommy has enlisted the help of another brother, Roman, for his final training camp.

John is in favor of this move and believes that Roman, who is still in the early stages of his own professional career, can only help Tommy get into top condition.

‘He’s a huge help to Tommy. They always compete against each other, they are two brothers. Roman is an exceptionally fit man,” John added.

“He’s probably one of the strongest young men I’ve ever seen and he’s living well. Roman lives like a man who has been in the game for twenty years. But he’s fit, he’s competitive, he’s always trying to beat Tommy, Tommy’s always trying to beat him. He brings out the best in Tommy, and Roman can fight against himself and it will show. He is someone to watch.

“He’s on these Sky shows and no matter what he can do, no one is going to jump up and down to fight Roman. Roman is good, he gets the best out of Tommy. They train together day and night, which is a great asset for him.’

Tommy’s victory against Paul in February was a cagey affair at times, with Fury emerging victorious largely thanks to controlling the fight with his jab.

However, John expects things to be very different this time and has warned YouTuber boxer KSI that his son is preparing to take him into deep waters.

“This isn’t a boxing match, it’s a punch-up,” John insisted. “If they think it’s going to be a boxing match, that’s their business. It’s an extended punch-up, and that’s what they’re going to get.

“You can’t bring in sparring partners to replicate these guys, so what you have to do, you have to drag them into the trenches and engage them in one fell swoop, and that’s it. but the sink. So the winners are the fans.

‘Tommy is too strong. He throws guys around the gym, 18 stone, like they’re featherweights. Listen, it’s going to be good, but it’s going to be explosive and it’s not going to be a long night. Not like that Jake Paul thing.

“We train differently, and what we do probably hasn’t been done before, so it’s a punch, punches!”

Attention will quickly turn to the Middle East after Tommy faces KSI, with Tyson looking to prove he is the best heavyweight in the world.

Like Tommy, Tyson will step through the ropes as the overwhelming favorite to get the job done and overcome a man who has never boxed professionally before.

But John has admitted he is concerned about Ngannou’s potential, and believes his son is in for a world of hurt once the bell rings and the rule book is thrown out the window.

“Will Tyson come out unscathed? I doubt it. It’s going to be a tough job,” John explained.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if Tyson gets a broken arm or something or a broken leg. That comes to mind because things are getting out of hand.

‘It all starts with: “Oh, it’s an exhibition”. They’re not exhibitions, come on. I’ve had a lot of them in my life and I’ve probably found an exhibition harder than anything I’ve ever done because both people have egos and want to prove their point, and Ngannou has a point to prove.

“The world is watching, he has Mike Tyson with him, he will want to impress him. So all I see is action. Forget the rules, forget everything, they don’t exist. That will be two giant men until they drop each other.

“I’m scared for Tyson for his well-being, because you’ve seen the power he has. Considering the strength he has, you wouldn’t want him to hit you. Tyson needs to be on his A-game.”

Should Fury get past Ngannou, there will likely be calls for him to test himself next against the heavyweight elite.

An undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk has not materialized this year, while Anthony Joshua has been steadily rebuilding his career after back-to-back losses to the Ukrainian.

Joshua has defeated Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius in 2023, and his team is currently negotiating a deal to fight former WBC king Deontay Wilder in early 2024.

Tyson scored knockout victories over Wilder in 2020 and 2021, and a victory for Joshua over the American could set up a battle between the Brits next summer.

But John is convinced the talks will fail and Joshua will never meet Wilder as there is too much danger involved, with the loser potentially staring down the barrel of his retirement.

‘It will never happen. It doesn’t happen. They’re not that stupid,” John said.
