A return date for The Witcher season 3 was revealed on Tuesday, as well as a first look at the trailer.
It marks Henry Cavill’s final appearance as Geralt of Rivia before Liam Hemsworth takes over the lead role for season four.
Part one of the show’s third season will hit Netflix on June 29, and part two will hit the platform on July 27.
In season three, as monarchs, mages and beasts of the continent battle to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri (Freya Allen) into hiding, determined to protect his newly reunited family from those who threaten to destroy it.
Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), in charge of Ciri’s magical training, leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers.

Instead, they discover that they have landed on a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic and betrayal.
They must fight back, risk everything – otherwise they risk losing each other forever.
Joey Batey also returns as Jaskier, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Anna Shaffer as Triss, and Kim Bodnia as Vesemir.
The Witcher’s Twitter account posted alongside the trailer, “This summer everything changes. Season 3 of The Witcher begins June 29 #thewitcher.”
It was announced that Liam, 33, would replace Cavill in the Netflix series in October 2022.
Season four of the show continues as originally planned with Hemsworth starring in the series.
It came after he also stepped down from his role of Superman amid a huge shakeup at Warner Bros.
The British actor most recently made a cameo appearance as Superman at the end of Warner Bros. Black Adam, teasing a showdown between Superman and Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam.

That came just days before James Gunn and Peter Safran were appointed as the new heads of DC Films.
“I just met with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. After all, I won’t be returning as Superman,” Cavill began on Instagram.
“After the studio told me to announce my return in October, ahead of their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but such is life,” he added.
“The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that. James and Peter have to build a universe,’ he added.
“I wish them and everyone involved in the new universe the best of luck and happiness,” he added.
The actor continued with “those who have stood by my side throughout the years,” adding, “we can grieve for a moment,” before addressing the franchise’s future.
“But then we must remember… Superman is still here. Everything he stands for still exists, and the examples he gives us are still there!’ Cavill said.

Fans are now on the hunt for Cavill plays another iconic role: James Bond. Cavill previously revealed that he was in the running for the role in 2005, but lost out to Daniel Craig.
