Like the real event, the SimCity version features an eerily empty warehouse and a sad-looking Oompa Loompa.
Delighted fans have flocked to social media to discuss the game, which has been viewed more than three million times since it was published on Wednesday.

Just hours after it hit the news, X user @imcxllumbtw recreated the ‘mess’ in The Sims.
“The §35 Willy Wonka experience has officially opened in SimCity,” they tweeted, alongside two photos from the game.
The first image shows the nearly empty warehouse, while the second shows a somber-looking woman dressed as Oompa Loompa conducting a science experiment.

According to the creator, the SimCity version only took 30 minutes to create, which according to one user was “probably about twice as long” as the time spent on the original event.
The Sims is not the only game that recreates the Willy Wonka Experience.
