The Wiggles’ John Pearce reveals the most difficult part of being in the famous kid’s group

The Wiggles’ John Pearce has opened up about the hardest part of being a band.

The 33-year-old, who is dubbed the ‘hot Purple Wiggle’ by thirsty mothers on social media, said Yahoo lifestyle Wednesday that separating his work personality from his real self was a challenge.

“You’re a Wiggle whether you have the skivvy on or not. “It’s always keeping in mind that people know you as a person,” he said.

The former member of the dance group Justice Crew also said that balancing the personal and professional on social media was difficult.

“On social media you have to walk a fine line between being personal and being a Wiggle, but personally I think I’m a Wiggle through and through now,” he said.

It comes as John recently opened up about what he really thinks about adult fans calling him the ‘sexy Wiggle’.

Speaking exclusively to the Ny Breaking at the premiere of Hot Potato: The Story of the Wiggles late last year, the Purple Wiggle said: “It’s all good, positive things and I think you just have to make the most of it.”

“Sexy and Wiggle in the same sentence doesn’t really make sense, but it’s 2023 and anything is possible,” he said at the time.

“You’re a Wiggle whether you have the skivvy on or not. It’s always remembering that people know you as a person,” he said in the interview

But his thirsty adult fans have not threatened his marriage as he claims his wife is very secure in their relationship: ‘She loves it, yes. She is very supportive. She is my best friend. She’s my soulmate.’

The Ny Breaking also spoke to fellow band member Tsehay Hawkins, who thinks the name Hot Purple Wiggle ‘the funniest thing ever.”

“It’s great to see the moms letting it go… It’s a great joke in the group,” she said.

John also started thinking about the balance between the personal and the professional. “On social media you have to walk a fine line between being personal and being a Wiggle, but personally I think I’m a Wiggle through and through now,” he said

“John is so humble and such a funny guy, so it’s so funny to see how they adore him and he’s so relaxed.”

In an interview with Stellar magazinethe former singer spoke about his online persona versus his image as a children’s entertainer.

“Taking off your shirt and being a child entertainer is not in the same room. I am fully aware of that,” he told the publication.

‘You know, we have to be very careful. People are entitled to their opinion and can say what they want.’

He continued, “I try not to let any comment, positive or negative, affect what I’m here for – and that’s making music for kids.”
