The wife of a man who threatened to kill her and their kids who vanished from a Carnival Cruise Bahamas trip while on probation says he’s still alive and wants him home

The ex-wife of a man who mysteriously disappeared on a Carnival Cruise ship last month claims he is still alive and wants him home.

Addison Thomas told TMZ that her ex, Kevin McGrath who is also the father of their two children, disappeared without a trace during a Labor Day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas. The cruise was part of McGrath’s father’s 60th birthday celebration.

The ship was returning to Florida and McGrath was supposed to meet his family for breakfast as it was the end of their cruise, but McGrath apparently never showed up and was reported missing when everyone got off the ship.

Carnival crew members and staff searched for the man and the Coast Guard conducted an extensive search, but to no avail.

During the perplexing ordeal, the ship’s overboard tracking device was never activated and police said there was no evidence that McGrath had gone overboard, and that there was no sign of him on board the ship.

McGrath pleaded guilty in September 2022 to aggravated assault in Tennessee after he threatened to kill his family.

He was sentenced to six years of supervised probation, which he violated, according to legal documents, according to the news outlet.

Thomas, who said she would talk to her ex almost every day and that they still had that ‘love connection’ between them, said ‘in my heart, I still think he’s alive. I don’t think he’s dead or anything… I just want him to be found alive and safe.’

McGrath, who lived in Tennessee, was granted permission to move to Florida where he lived with his parents.

Although the cruise was a celebration for his father’s 60th birthday, McGrath’s probation officer said he was never given permission to go on the family trip and only found out McGrath had violated his parole when he saw a media report. .

Legal documents say McGrath has not kept in touch with his probation officer, which is part of his parole requirements, and since he went missing, all efforts to reach him have been futile.

The last time McGrath was reportedly seen was the night of September 3. His key card was used to enter his room around 3:30 a.m. the next day, according to TMZ the first news paper to report on the story.

Tuesday marked a month since his disappearance and Thomas shared the daily anguish.

“It’s s***s, we literally have to wake up every day and wonder, ‘Where’s Kevin?'” she said. “I just want him to be found alive and safe, which would literally take the pressure off my heart,” she said in part.

She said he wasn’t anything negative between them before he went MIA grill.

“Our relationship wasn’t bad at all,” she said. ‘We still had that love connection. That bond. It never ended, regardless of the past, it was always still there.’

She also wanted people to know this was not a ‘dangerous’ person and claimed the charges were from years ago.

“Nobody should look at the indictment and say, ‘That’s why he’s missing.’ That is not the case here,’ she insisted.

“Kevin is human. He was a soldier. He fought for your country. He doesn’t have to fight for you and you treat him like this dangerous guy.’

She also spoke about the negative talk she sees circulating on social media. ‘The family sees the TikToks. We see the news. We see the negative comments. We don’t want you to assume the worst because of his charges. He is not a dangerous person.

“We are not afraid of Kevin. We love Kevin. He was literally the life of the party and not a bad person at all.

And speaking of how she stood by him and said she wanted the world to know it. “He’s not a bad guy at all, regardless of whether we’re together or not, I’m always going to support him.”

Looking at the camera, she had a message for McGrath.

‘I just want him to know we love him very much. He knows it. We just want him found and want him to come home to his family,’ she said in part. ‘

I know when you see the news and all the negative talk, but deep down we know the truth and I just pray that you are found safe.
