The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus gives a thumbs up to fans at promo event in NYC for final season

The last eight episodes of the eleventh and final season of The Walking Dead premiered on AMC last week.

As part of the latest promotional campaign for the post-apocalyptic horror series, some of the stars and one of the creative minds behind the scenes attended PaleyFest NY on Saturday 2022 at the Paley Museum in New York City.

Norman Reedus, who played fan favorite Daryl Dixon since season one in 2010, was on hand to greet the fans before entering the venue for a special screening selected for the event, which also included a talk and Q-and-A.

Reedus, who has the distinction of being one of two characters from the original Atlanta survivor group still on the show, arrived in a black suit over a gray vest and black t-shirt.

He also wore a pair of black leather shoes and had his dark brown locks styled in his signature slightly messy look, which his character is also known for.

As fans shouted his name, he gave them a thumbs up and took a moment to chat with them as they snapped pictures of videos of him.

At first, Reedus wore cool dark sunglasses outside the venue, but he’d take them off by the time he went to the red carpet for a round of photos.

He took a few poses himself at first, but when his fellow castmates started trickling into the event, they made their way to the red carpet for some group photos.

Co-stars Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Lauren Ridloff (Connie), Paola Lázaro (Juanita ‘Princess’ Sanchez), Michael James Shaw (Michael Mercer), and Eleanor Matsuura (Yumiko) were all on hand , as has Scott M. Gimple, who has served as writer, producer, and showrunner on the show.

The group looked more like old friends as they talked and laughed in between piling it up for the photographers lined up along the red carpet.

The stars would eventually make their way to the Paley Museum for the screening, conversation and Q-and-A with journalists and fans.

“Good morning,” the 53-year-old actor joked in the caption of the photo that shows him from the side.

Ardant fans of the show know that the head was shaped and crafted after actor and musician Johnny Depp, which was confirmed by TWD’s prosthetic makeup artist Greg Nicotero in an interview with Comicbook.com,

Along with Reedus, Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier) is the only other actor to have survived all 11 seasons of The Walking Dead.

The two OGs were slated to star together in a new spin-off series, but McBride has since decided to step down, and now the spin-off will focus solely on Reedus’ character, which he revealed this week. , will be simply titled, Daryl Dixon.
