The Voice Kids fans sad as singer Maisie fails after S Club 7 song
Viewers of The Voice Kids were devastated during Saturday’s episode when a hopeful got the shoe after no judges showed up despite an impressive performance.
Auditionee Maisie took the stage to perform her own version of S Club 7’s 2000 hit Reach.
Maisie sang a much slower version of the pop hit, with many of the show’s fans praising her for the adapted rendition.
However, judges Ronan Keating, Pixie Lott, will.i.am and Danny Jones decided not to choose Maisie, despite the overwhelming applause of the studio audition.
One surprised viewer wrote on Twitter, “#TheVoiceKids Wtf? Didn’t they turn around for Maisie? She was brilliant. Better than others that went through. Ridiculous!’

It comes after The Voice Kids judge Pixie Lott said she was “beyond excited” to expect her first child with husband Oliver Cheshire.
The 32-year-old pop star and 35-year-old model – who tied the knot at Ely Cathedral in June last year after a delay due to COVID-19 – delighted fans by posting a photo of Pixie’s belly and their baby scan weeks on Instagram.

She gushed in the caption, “We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and can’t wait to start a family of our own.”
The couple will welcome the little one into the world in September and they already know the gender but are keeping it a secret for now.
The Mama Do singer is obsessed with buying clothes for her unborn child.
She opened up about her pregnancy in an article for British Vogue magazine, writing, “Oliver and I are both big family people, so we’ve always wanted to have our own pregnancy. Once we had the wedding, it just made sense.
“I was approaching the 28-week mark when we celebrated our first anniversary on June 6, and we feel very happy that it will all work out.
“We’re not planning to have a gender reveal party, although we know what we’ve got.”
She gushed, “We were so excited to find out, it’s nice to keep that information just for us.”
“Feeling the little kicks with Oli was magical and I’m addicted to getting the little outfits — we’re so excited.”
Pixie became an aunt when her sister had her first baby in December, and her brother will also become a father later this year.
She wrote, “My sister had her first baby in December and funnily enough my brother is also going to be a dad in November so the timing is great.
“My mom always wanted to be a grandmother, and now it’s happening all at once. My mom and dad are both so happy to be grandparents.”

Pixie hopes she’s a “super mumma,” just like her own mother, Beverley.
She added, “My mother taught me so many things that I want to pass on to my own child.
“She’s a real go-getter who goes out and makes things happen, but she’s also very family-oriented, which is how she raised us all.
That’s why we’re all so close. She’s a rock to so many people – a super mumma – and I hope I can be too.’
Wedding bells: Pixie and Oliver finally tied the knot at Ely Cathedral last June after their wedding was canceled multiple times due to Covid
