Gwen Stefani was branded ‘unrecognizable’ by fans for her dramatic new look on the latest episode of The Voice.
The 55-year-old singer returned to the show as a coach during the Battles round on Monday, but it was her hairstyle that stole the show.
The No Doubt star ditched her signature icy platinum locks and rocked warm blonde wavy locks with prominent bangs that framed her face.
She paired the look with a bright yellow sunflower dress and perfect makeup.
After the episode, fans flooded social media with discussions about Gwen’s surprising hairstyle choice, with one person writing, “Please Gwen, the blonde wig (mop) looks terrible.”

She debuted the sunny new hairstyle on season 26 of the musical talent show.
Battle rounds are a crucial stage in The Voice, where contestants from each team are paired up to sing a duet together. The coach then chooses the participant who he believes has performed better to advance to the knockout rounds.
During the episode, Gwen teamed up with a pair of teenagers: 19-year-old Sloane Simon and 15-year-old Sydney Sterlace.
They were both given the song Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish, with Gwen realizing during rehearsals that it would also be a difficult decision.

She ultimately chose Sydney, but the remaining three judges – Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Michael Buble used their Steal on Sloane, who chose Buble.
Snoop brought two duos into battle together, giving fans their first glimpse of his coaching style, and they were quite impressed.
The hip-hop star kicked off the show by pairing Gail Bliss and Christina Eagle to sing Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson and later chose Mikayla Ayira and Eliza Pryor to sing A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton.
Impressed, many took to social media, with some claiming he was the best judge in the show’s long history.
While none of Snoop’s singers were stolen after elimination, there were two huge steals to start the battle rounds.
Snoop quickly realized how difficult the Battle Rounds will be after their performance, admitting that choosing one over the other would “break my heart.”
After channeling his “gangster Holy Spirit,” he ultimately chose 23-year-old Christina over 61-year-old Gail.
Gail was not stolen by any of the other judges after the performance, so she was sent home.
Buble paired 18-year-old Kiara Vega with 20-year-old Mor Ilderton to sing Iris by Goo Goo Dolls.

Michael realized that the song was not in one of their ‘lanes’, with Mor admitting that he had never harmonized before.
The judge ultimately chose Kiara after insisting the decision was “impossible,” and even gave Mor his personal phone number… before Stefani stepped in to steal.
Also advancing was Team Reba’s Kendall Eugene, who she chose over Alison Elena after singing Bring On the Rain by Jo Dee Messina and Tim McGraw.
Jan Dan was chosen by Stefani over Jaylen Dunham, because Jan Dan had to leave immediately afterward because his wife had given birth to their first child that day.
The Voice returns Tuesday, October 22 at 8pm ET on NBC.
